following the destruction of a small village named shiganshina in the kingdom of maria, a rebel by the name of eren jaeger put together an attempt to bring down the ruler of the aforementioned nation. most called the young man a fool, even when he enlisted the help of other citizens.
within time, he successfully overthrew the former king, offering the promise of better lives for the people that lived within the country. and perhaps, just as interestingly, were the two people that had their names brought to a noble status almost overnight: mikasa ackerman, eren jaeger's right hand, and armin arlert.

having lost both his parents and grandfather during their time in the marleyan's eldian unit, armin arlert was put into the warrior program at a young age. possessing the qualities that they'd deemed necessary, he was given the colossus titan and a shortened lifespan.
not long after the inheriting of the titan, he was given a mission alongside the other warriors: travel to the island of the devils in the name of marley and erase the stain that paradis left in their blood and the world.

a young adult living in the time of flappers and prohibition, armin arlert was looking to make as much money as possible to help provide for his grandfather, an immigrant from germany.
in doing so, he ends up getting himself stuck in a gang called the scouts, most likely biting off more than he can chew in doing so.

armin had always pushed himself to doing the best that he could, and school was something that came naturally to the blond boy.
years of work had paid off, and he eventually got himself into a college that he hadn't even dreamed of having -- a good one, alongside his closest friends.
if only he ever found the time to leave his apartment.

nobody had really expected the worst to happen -- for eren to rise up and begin his plans to destroy the world, to demonstrate the power that paradis had been hiding for so long.
and to make matters worse, it seemed as if a member of the alleged alliance against him had decided to change sides. or, at the very least, offer means to hinder the remainders of humanity's last hope..
childhood friendship is still important, after all.
