It was a typical Monday morning. Connor had woken up late, slipped into the first outfit he could find and rushed into school, sitting down in his seat just as the bell rang. He began to greet his friend, Tyler, when his teacher, Miss Jones, began to speak                                                                                       "We have a new student here with us today" she began. Connor didn't bother to look up from his desk. New students came and went all the time, and so it wasn't a big deal - and on top of that, he was also really tired, and wanted to conserve his energy as much as possible.                                       "His name is Troye Mellet, and he's  here all the way from Australia. I need you all to give Troye a warm welcome and show him just how good this school is, and what we stand for" she continued. Despite trying to save energy by minimal eye movement, Connor couldn't help but roll his eyes at that. Nobody was going to start reciting the school code of conduct down to the new guy or telling him the basic rules. Nobody cared, and on top of that, it was a Monday. Connor's thoughts began to drift until he was nudged sharply by his best friend, Tyler.                                                                               "What was that for?" he hissed, annoyed to be woken from his rest.                                                             "Is he cute or what?" Tyler replied, his voice unusually perky for the ungodly hour it was. Connor was about to reply sarcastically, telling Tyler that he couldn't answer because he didn't find any guys cute, until he found his eyes wandering up to the new boy.                                                                           The boy was, well...different. Connor repeatedly told himself that he didn't like boys, but somehow he couldn't draw his eyes away from the fresh meat in front of him. The Australian was tall and skinny, wearing dark jeans and a black baggy jumper, which hung off his slight frame. He had a messy, curly hair which was arranged into a quiff, and Connor couldn't help but notice the small birthmark under his eye.                                                                                                                                 What Connor was really attracted to, though, was the boy's eyes. They were a deep, deep blue, and Connor found himself almost lost in them, until he realised he was staring and averted his eyes as quickly as was humanly possible.                                                                                                                 "See what I mean?!" Tyler smirked at him, not bothering to lower his voice much. Connor's cheeks immediately went a deep shade of red, and he found his mind blank when he tried to think of a sarky reply. A simple 'shut up' was the best he could come up with, and with that his teacher Miss Jones spoke again.                                                                                                                                                         "So, as part of welcoming Troye, I'd appreciate it if someone could show Troye around today and help him out?!"                                                                                                                                                       Of course the first hand to raise up was Tyler's. He was the only person with enough energy in the morning, and besides that, he was the kind of person that knew everyone and everything, and he probably wanted to add the Australian to that list.                                                                                         "Tyler! Not exactly a surprise, but thank you all the same. If only other students shared your enthusiasm! Troye, this is Tyler, and he'll show you around for the next few days." Miss Jones exclaimed.                                                                                                                                                             Connor didn't know whether to be annoyed at Tyler for always taking on recruits,  or intrigued in getting to know the new guy...but what he did know was that he was in for an interesting few weeks.
