Chapter 7.

Vampires are real. They're usually not the cape-wearing, "mwah-hah-hah-ing" types, but rather people with ordinary jobs who just happen to consume blood

Louis woke up an hour before his alarm went off. He tossed and turned all night, he just couldn't stop thinking about what he learned. Harry is a vampire. Louis lets out a sigh rubbing at his face.

When he moved to Forks the last thing he expected was to find a love interest, let alone one who was a vampire. Louis let out a groan when his alarm went off, he didn't even notice the time pass quickly, too emersed in his thoughts.

Slowly he got up and got ready for the day. He didn't know what it would throw at him and had no idea how to talk to Harry. With one last sigh, he went into the bathroom and closed the door behind him.

He started to look around for that familiar face when he spotted him. Harry was walking past when he slowed down and turned to Louis, feeling eyes on him. The moment they made eye contact everything just stopped and slowed down.

Harry knew Louis figured it out, his darkest secret.

Louis started walking towards Harry, and when he got close enough he kept walking past him, to the forest. He didn't look back, he knew Harry would follow him.

When Louis thought they were far enough from any listening ears he slowed to a stop. He dropped his bag on the ground, and let out a breath. Not turning around he started talking.

"You're impossibly fast, and strong. Your skin is pale white and ice cold. Your eyes change color, and you speak as if you're from a different time. You never eat or drink, you don't go in the sunlight. How old are you?" Louis questioned.

Louis felt Harry come closer but refused to turn around yet.

"17" was the response he got. He knew that was a lie and instead asked, "how long have you been 17?". It was silent for a minute, the only sound was birds chirping and Louis' breathing.

After a few minutes, Harry spoke up, "a long time" was what he replied with. Louis wanted to hit him, even now he still wasn't telling the whole truth. Louis stayed silent, trying to get the courage to say what he wanted to. Louis closed his eyes, "I know what you are" he said firmly.

Harry expected him to say it, but when he didn't he took matters into his own hands, "Say it, out loud. Say it". Louis was silent though. He couldn't speak, his throat felt closed up and his breathing got quicker. Finally, Louis forced it out, the word that would alter his life forever.

Harry asked the one thing he was most scared of and dreaded the answer, "are you afraid?" of me went unasked. Louis turned around at this, looking Harry in his face. He couldn't believe Harry would ask that, never in his life had Louis felt safer with anyone than he felt when he was with Harry.

Louis shook his head with a serious look on his face, "No". Harry didn't believe him, he was a monster. "Then ask me the most basic question, what do we eat?" Harry asked. And although Louis knew what he was getting at, he didn't care.

Everything in his body trusted Harry, he knew for a fact, Harry would never hurt him. Not on purpose at least, "You won't hurt me".
