Alli's P.O.V.

I wake up to Shawn placing soft kisses on my cheek.  I smile and start to open my eyes.

"Ewwwww PDA."  Mickey whines.

I open my eyes and smack her arm.  She laughs but then looks worried again.  This girl is hella bipolar.

"Are you suuuuurrre you're okay?"  I ask.

"Yeah, yeah.  I'm fine."  She responds.

When we finally land, I become really happy.  I've missed Jess and my grandparents sooo much.  Shawn, Mickey, and I walk off the plane and head towards baggage claim.  As soon as we walk down the stairs, I'm met with Jess's smiling face accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Mendes long with Mrs. Lancaster.  I run over to Jess and pull her into a hug.

"I missed you baby sister."  She says.

"Dude, I have so much to tell you, you don't even know."  I pull away from the hug and smile at her.

"Oh damn, should I be scared?"  She chuckles.

"Maybe."  I smirk.

"You are too much."  She playfully punches my arm.

I go to say hi to Shawn's and Mickey's parents before Jess and I make our way home.  We drive while jamming out to music.  And Yoncé is on the radio and she is baaaaaaeeeeee.

When we finally pull up to our house, I notice an unfamiliar car in our driveway.  Jess notices and looks confused.

"Who is that?"  I ask concerned.

"I... have no idea."

As we step out of the car, two officers that aren't in uniform step out of the unmarked car.  I can tell they are cops by the badges in their hands.

"Jessalyn and Allison Davis?"  The tall officer asks.

"Yes?"  Jess replies.

"Um.  We have some news regarding your grandparents Isabella and Ronald Davis.  But you might want to go inside for this."  The other officer suggests.

"Is everything alright?"  Jess asks.

"Well no.  Everything's not alright."  The tall one responds.

Mickey's P.O.V.

On the drive home, my mom asks me questions about the trip, which I halfheartedly answer.  I have other things on my mind.

"Where's dad?"  I ask.

"Oh, he had meetings to go to, sweetie."

"But it's Sunday."

"He's been really busy lately."

"Oh, okay."  I drift off.

"So were there any cute guys on the trip?"

"I just wanted to know.  So were there?"

"We are not having this talk right now."

"Wait, Michaela, you're still a virgin, right?"

"What?  Mom, yes.  I'm 15."

"Being 15 doesn't mean anything.  It was a genuine question and I don't like the tone you're striking he-"

My mom is interrupted by my phone buzzing.  I look down and see that I have a text from Josh.  I work up the courage to open it.

I better have what I asked for, it reads.

And if you don't? I reply.

You already know the answer to that question.  His final text reads.

I gulp and try not to show that I'm scared.  If my mom ever found out about this, shit would go dooowwwnnn.  And I'm not sure if I want that to happen.

"Michaela honey, are you okay?"

"Yep.  I'm great.  Just great..."

Shawn's P.O.V.

The minute I walk in the door of my house, Aaliyah attacks me with a giant hug.  I hug her back and smile.

"I missed you so much, Shawn."  She says

"I missed you too.  But I bet you had fun without me here?"  I raise an eyebrow at her.

"Of course.  It's not like a movie where I just sit in my room everyday waiting for you to come home.  It was easy to not have a tree like you hogging the tv all day."  She giggles.

"Haha.  Very funny."  Aaliyah always called me tree because I'm so much taller than her.  I used to hate it, but I've learned to embrace it.  "I'm gonna go unpack.  We can watch a movie or something later, kay?"

"Yeah, sure."

I bring my stuff upstairs to my room and start to unpack.  About 20 minutes in, I get a phone call.  I look at the caller ID and see it's Alli.  I smile to myself and answer the phone.

S:  Hey beautiful.

A:  Shawn?

Her voice sounds weary, as if she had been crying.

S:  Yeah?  What's the matter?

A:  I need you to come over.

S:  Um okay.  Like now?

A:  Please.

She starts to cry into the phone.

S:  Of course.  I'll be over in a second.

A:  Thanks.

I make my way downstairs as quickly as possible.  I call to my parents and tell them that I'm leaving, and they reply with simple okays.  I walk next door to Alli's house, and use the key they keep at the back of their mailbox to open and unlock the door.  I walk in and see Jess on the phone and Alli sitting on the couch crying.

Jess waves and weakly smiles at me before suddenly nodding to Alli.  Her head is in her hands and her body's shaking.  I walk over and pull her into a hug.  She lifts her head up and her sad eyes meet mine.

"What happened Alli?"

A lone tear slips down her cheek.

"My grandparents... they're-they're dead."
