Dear Diary,

When I woke up today, Clarice was sitting at the end of my bed and I asked her if Mummy and Daddy can see her now. Clarice told me that Mummy and Daddy are sleeping and I didn't need to go to school today. She said to stay at home and play with her, so I did!

Clarice told me to go to the sweet shop down the road. I asked her why, but she said it would be fun. Together, we went to the sweet shop and I wanted to buy  a packet of Lemon Sherbets and a Lolly using Daddy's money.

The shopkeeper said that I was too young to buy things by myself, without a parent or guardian and she told me to leave. I NEEDED those Lemon Sherbets and the Lolly! Clarice told me she would put the shopkeeper to sleep and then I would be able to get my sweets for free. I waited outside whilst she did that . A couple of minutes later, I went back inside and there was red liquid all over the floor that stuck to the back of my black plimsolls. Clarice took some Lemon Sherbets and a Lolly and handed them to me. They were really very tasty. Clarice said that she lost her gloves under the big truck which is parked across the road and I offered to get them for her. However, when I was walking to it I was pulled back by the truck driver and he accused me of trying to steal the things in the truck. Clarice said that she would take care of the old truck driver.

I ate some frozen pie that I found in the freezer for dinner and then it was time for bed.

Love,

Annie Lerch
