Time went by and I never saw a SHIELD agent after that. I could feel them watching me and my children but they never showed themselves. Time went by and soon school was out and it was time for the children to go to their father.
After hugging them both goodbye and promising to take care of their fish, they were gone. Now I really had nothing to do.
I decided to do something about it a week later, when I could stand it no longer. I went to a local photo shop and came out with a job taking pictures for them. I had a lot of free time so I spent a lot of time there.
I opened a bank account and put the money there, knowing that if the children decided to live here when they were grown up, they would need the money.
It was a rainy Sunday afternoon. I was the only one there and it was almost closing time. I was going to close up and go back to Stark Tower. There was a chick flick waiting for me there. I was going to curl up in my bed with some junk food and watch it.
I had been down since the twin’s sixth birthday and after work yesterday I had gone to a salon and gotten my hair cut. I had let it grow out till it was all the way to my knees. It was now just above my shoulders and I loved the way it moved and bounced as I turned my head.
I looked up in surprise when there the door dinged, signaling that someone was here. I walked around the door to the front of the studio. My eyes widened with shock when I saw who was there.
They were too tall to be human in the first place but their skin was blue and covered in markings like someone had taken a knife to their flesh. I gasped involuntarily and they all turned to me. There were four of them total and their eyes were blood red. Frost Giants.
I backed away cautiously. And the biggest stopped me. He took hold of my arm in a death grip. I opened my mouth to scream but he cuffed me in the jaw and everything went black.
