"Oh my gosh!" (Y/n) squealed happily, petting Diluc's cat ears.

Yeah...cat ears. How did this happen? Well, Kaeya thought it would be funny to grab something from Albedo's laboratory to just give Diluc an upset stomach when he drinks his grape juice. Unfortunately, Kaeya grabbed an untested potion, put it in Diluc's grape juice, and now he has cat ears and a tail.

"You look so cute!" (Y/n) smiled, still playing with Diluc's cat ears. His red ears flickered a couple of times, while his tail swayed back and forth a little. He won't admit it but he liked the feeling of his ears being played with by his wife. "Awe good kitty."

"(Y/n), dear, I am not a cat," Diluc reminded her, but didn't stop her. "And you, stupid Kaeya, why did you think grabbing something from Albedo's laboratory would be a good idea? He has many things on his table that should not be tested without him saying it's alright to test. You really are an idiot."

"Oh please, I am quite entertained," Kaeya chuckled, sipping on his wine. "You look just like an angry little cat."

"But he's so cute!" (Y/n) scratched behind Diluc's ears.

"Darling, please, not right now." Diluc gently took (Y/n)'s hands away from his ears. If she continued to play with his ears, me might just purr, and he does not need Kaeya to tease him for something he cannot control, very well right now.

"So, when are these effects supposed to wear off?" (Y/n) asked, looking at the Chief Alchemist.

Apparently Albedo asked around to know if anyone had recently left his laboratory with a large bottle in hand. Sara was the one who gave him the information he needed, and now here he is, at Angels Share with the other three.

"The effects are not permanent, luckily," Albedo was sketching in his sketchbook. It was a picture of (Y/n) playing with Diluc's cat ears, something he's never going to see since Diluc would murder anyone who witnessed it. Luckily there were very few people at the tavern tonight, and most were too drunk to even know what's going on around them. "But he might be this way for about 2 days."

"2, days?" Diluc asked, glaring at his brother. "You mean to tell me I will be stuck this way for 2 days?"

"I can try to make an antidote, but it took me almost 4 months to make the one Kaeya stole," Albedo also glared at Kaeya a little. "So making an antidote might take just as much time or longer."

"I suggest you start making an antidote." Diluc demaned.

"Don't! I like his cat ears!" (Y/n) said happily, petting Diluc on the head softly. "He looks so cute!"

"I agree," Kaeya started to tease. "He does look quite cute."

"You. Shut. Up." Diluc glared more at the Cavalry Captain.

"I will make an antidote for when this might happen again," Albedo sighed. "He'll be fine in about 2 days. Master Diluc, may I suggest going home and staying there until the effects wear off? You're most likely not wanting to let people see you in this state, and I do not know what other effects the potion might have on you. For all we know, you might fully turn into a cat."

"Kitty Diluc!" (Y/n) smiled, looking over at Albedo. "Please tell me he might turn into one!"

"It is a possibility," Albedo shrugged his shoulders a little. "But that's not guaranteed."

"Diluc! Can you you turn into a cat?" (Y/n) looked back over to her husband. "Please tell me you can. I wanna see you as a cat."

"I do not believe I can darling," Diluc sighed a little. "I think the only side effect is going to be the ears and tail."

"Awe..." (Y/n) pouted.

"I'll get Charles. You go home and deal with being a half cat," Kaeya chuckled. "(Y/n), make sure he doesn't scratch up a couch."

"I swear I'm going to kill you." Diluc mumbled.

"Alright alright sweetie," (Y/n) took Diluc's hand and started dragging him out of the tavern through the back door. "Now let's go home. I wanna see how much of a cat you are."

"Good luck," Kaeya chuckled. "You might need it."

"So catnip doesn't have any effect on you," (Y/n) sad, writing down some information. She might as well take some notes about things that she Albedo would be curious about. "And you seem to detest canned fish, but you like fresh fish."

"(Y/n) why must you do these experiments on me?" Diluc asked, a little annoyed with (Y/n)'s experiments.

"Because Albedo would want this information, and I am curious to know if you'll act more like a cat as well," (Y/n) smiled. "At least you aren't attracted to a ball of yarn or say meow. If Kaeya were to hear you say meow, I think he'd never let you hear the end of it."

"I don't want to face that..." Diluc mumbled. Anything but Kaeya teasing him, would be better. "I think I'd rather drink alcohol..."

"Oh don't say that," (Y/n) patted Diluc's shoulder. "Relax. He's not going to tease you any time soon. As long as this stays between us and Albedo keeps this report a secret from Kaeya, you're not going to be teased."

"Enjoy this while it lasts, because I will not be drinking anything that fool hands me ever again." Diluc sighed, sitting down on the couch and leaned his head back.

"I will," (Y/n) sat down next to him and gently scratched him behind his ears. "I love seeing you with cat ears. You're quite adorable."

"You've already said this for the 23rd time this evening," Diluc pointed out, letting his wife scratch behind his ears. Something unexpected happened though. He purred. "You heard nothing."

"You purred!" (Y/n) smiled brightly, and tackled her husband on the couch, sitting on his waist and started scratching him behind his ears. "Purr again! That was adorable!"

"No!" Diluc yelled, trying gabbling onto his wife's wrists and tried to keep her hands away from his ears. "I did no such thing!"

"Purr again!"

"No!"

"Uh, you alright?" Albedo asked Diluc, who looked like he had run a marathon. It's been 2 days, and Diluc indeed turned back to normal. (Y/n) gave all the information she could gather to Albedo, and now she's away doing some commissions.

"(Y/n) would not stop playing with my ears..." Diluc yawned. "I got no sleep..."

"Well, I am in the middle of making an antidote," Albedo gave a small smile. "I'll be able to transform you back sooner next time."

"Please...make sure Kaeya does not read that report..."

"You purred?!" Kayea burst in, a bright teasing smile on his face.

"I locked my laboratory!"

"Well not well enough!"

"Turn him back into a cat!"

"Don't you dare Kaeya!"

"Wait! Kaeya! Don't!"
