After deciding to not follow her mother home Antonella had been between houses. She either slept in Bobby's spare bedroom or on Rose's sofa bed. It was no big deal seeing as both Rose and Bobby's parents loved Antonella like she was one of their own.
"You're coming to work with me today," Rose smiled at the brunette who was now sitting up, rubbing her eyes.
"I promise that I will meet you at the Orpheum, I just need to get some clothes from Elena's." Nella informed Rose, who was already standing by her bedroom door with a rucksack slung across her shoulder, "Besides I don't know why you want me to be there so badly," that was a complete lie, AJ knew that Rose wanted her there to see the new pop-rock band perform, they were just her style, I mean that is why she is in the band.
"I want you to be there because there's a new band performing and they seem like your style," Rose replied confirming AJ's suspicions.
Rose doesn't know that Antonella is in the band, Nella always kept her friends separate. She knew Rose from high school, they bonded over music and she met Alex in the public library ironically they bonded over their love for dance. Since Alex and Nella attended different schools he had never met Rose.
AJ looked down at her watch before throwing on some sweatpants and grabbing her old house key, "Gotta go, love you," she called out to the Martinez family, giving Mama Martinez a quick kiss on the cheek and high-fiving Rose's dad.
Once she left the Martinez household she ran for a few blocks, hoping to keep to the schedule she had. Unfortunately, she bumped into the one person she was trying to avoid, surprisingly it wasn't her mother but rather her girlfriend Andy.
Next on Antonella's to-do list was break up with Andy.
Andy is stunning, talented and the absolute sweetest but Nella couldn't string her along like this, she just didn't love her.
Even though AJ had convinced herself Reggie doesn't like her back it was still cruel to mess with Andy's feelings. Nella even went as far as to write her a song to break the news, she was planning on telling her after the Orpheum, expressing how busy she would be now that the band was taking off and blah blah blah.
The last thing she wanted was for Andy to feel second place; that's why Nella was prepared to tell her that she just wouldn't have any free time rather than crushing her heart by saying "Hey I know I said I love you but I lied, bye."
"Hey, Angel," Andy greeted her panicked-looking girlfriend. Nella couldn't ignore her, she may be breaking up with her but she wasn't cold-hearted.
They shared a short but sweet kiss before AJ pulled away, Andy went in for another kiss but Nella had successfully dodged her, dipping down and out of sight.
