SERENADE OF THE SEAS CRUISE FROM NEW ORLEANS

By Deanna Samuels

An exciting Journal of Vacation - 25th November - 8th December 2014

Tuesday 25th November 2014

Toronto - Cincinnati

It seemed so far, a bus journey down to New Orleans, the miles between a bar

The journey was expected, itinerary accepted, friend Sally and my own desire

A taxi arranged to Country Style, Richmond Hill, 16th and Yonge, still very early

Dawn had not yet broken, several hours yet away, darkness pervaded, air chilly

Shuttle bus early, there awaits, us to collect, luggage and we board for Kitchener

Great Canadian Coaches Kitchener terminus, about 100 passengers congregate

Arrived from various locations in Ontario, mingle, coffee, anticipated excitement

Two special 30th Anniversary cakes cut, a welcome speech by Proprietor Lorna

Four busses for journey for 178, time for holidaymakers to load, ours number four

Our driver is Steve, meeting up with Tour Director Deb at London, Ontario

A short welcome speech by Proprietor Larry and flag waving from employees

We are all ready to depart - but wait - two passengers missing, not on board

Frantic phone calls made, where can they be? - finally located at home!

Thought holiday started on Friday! 10 minutes to pack, will be shuttled to London

Bus No. 4 at last pulls out: at London, extra coffee time to await late passengers
