"Did you open them?" Jeongguk asks, his voice so cold. Seokjin shakes his head.
"Words!" Jeongguk's voice booms in the hall. Seokjin flinches.
"No." He whispers. The mafia boss extends his hand and Seokjin places his phone on it. The password was removed and everything that Jeongguk doesn't need and shouldn't see.
Jeongguk simply checks the messages, sends everything on his own phone and deletes it from Seokjin's phone. The silence still pierces, awaits the storm.
And the storm does come when Jeongguk turns and throws Seokjin's phone hard on the floor, right towards Taehyung's feet and it breaks into pieces.
They all flinch slightly. Yoongi and Namjoon don't. Taehyung doesn't. He stares at the Jeongguk and only him, his eyes still rival him.
Jeongguk grabs his phone from the table and gives a brief glance to Taehyung who's now yawning, eyes closed. He says nothing. Leaves.
Taehyung takes a deep breath, stays on the couch even though he feels a big urge to run to his need and sleep. He stays. So does others in the hall.
"Dinner?" Seokjin's voice gathers their attention. "The mission was successful so you guys should celebrate."
"You had to do it?" Yoongi says next to Taehyung.
"Stay away from this matter. You make it harder for Seokjin---".
"Yoongi." Seokjin's voice was firm. "Don't."
Yoongi says nothing. He gets up and leaves. Hoseok follows him.
"Go and rest all of you." Seokjin says. Jimin, Yugyeom and Eunwoo hesitate but they leave. Taehyung stays.
"You too, Taehyung." Seokjin says to Taehyung who keeps looking at the broken phone.
"I'll just stay here for a while." Taehyung mumbles. Seokjin nods. He looks at Namjoon who gestures him to leave, have some rest.
Seokjin leaves.
"Taehyung." Namjoon says and he looks at him. "Accompany me to library yeah?"
Taehyung smiles, nods. They walk towards the library in silence. It was needed tonight: the silence. It was preferred and it was wise.
"I know you're curious and you want to see his reactions all the time regarding this." Namjoon says as they enter the library.
"By the way you did amazing back there. Just simply texted Jeongguk from Kyungmin's phone right there and then." Namjoon chuckles. Taehyung smiles at his smile.
"We do tend to jump to complications when things can be done simply too." Namjoon says.
"In this line of work, simple doesn't exist. Though you proved it does." Namjoon smiles again.
"It wasn't simple, hyung." Hyung, Taehyung says. Probably the first time he says it to Namjoon. He says and means it. If it actually makes sense.
"The procedure wasn't simple. And then that fear and rapid beating of heart, hands shaking---shit like that is always complicated." Taehyung sighs.
"I know you want to know the feud between the two and you'll laugh once you know." Namjoon utters.
"But it's not your place to tell Yeah?" Taehyung says and Namjoon nods.
"Grab a book. Whichever you want and let's talk about it." Namjoon says. Taehyung walks towards the shelves, amazed by the collection.
Namjoon wears his glasses, the pair he has in the library. He grabs his currently reading book as he waits for Taehyung to grab one.
"This place is heaven." He hears Taehyung say and chuckles.
