𝚒𝚟. 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐
( S1E3 ) "heavy mortal hopes"

𝑳𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑹, Calypso is walking the ground, pissed off. Marco and his team did kill a Burned One, just not the right one. Now Saul is really going to die and Calypso can't handle that. She makes her way past the barrier and finds a clearing in the woods. She makes sure no one is around her before she lets out a scream, her magic going haywire in the woods. 

"Fuck!" Calypso yelled

She throws all her anger and frustration into her powers, destroying her surroundings.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Why do you always have to do this to yourself, Saul?" Calypso asked

She finally passes her anger stance and moves onto sadness. Tears fall down her cheeks as she kneels on the ground.

"Why do you have to make me fall in love with you and then leave me, again?" Calypso asked

She moves onto a rock and cries for a few minutes, before she hears growling and shrieking. She moves towards the sounds and sees Sky, Bloom, Stella, Aisha, Terra, and Musa fighting a Burned One. Sky stabs the Burned One and it falls down to the ground, seemingly dead. The girls approach it, while Calypso remains in the shadows.

"Wait. I don't think it's-" Musa started

The Burned One gets up to attack the girls, but Calypso sends a spell at it, successfully killing it.

"No, it wasn't dead. It is now." Calypso said

The girls all turn to Calypso in shock.

"Now, are you going to tell me what you were doing out here?" Calypso asked

She crosses her arms over her chest. The girls and Sky all look around, guiltily. Calypso suddenly receives a text and pulls her phone out.

Saul started healing and he's in the greenhouse if you want to see him.

I got five fairies with me that went out searching for a Burned One.
I'll bring them to you for punishment

Calypso puts her phone away and looks at the fairies and Specialist.

"Well it looks like you won't have to tell me. Headmistress Dowling is going to deal with you." Calypso said

She leads the students out of the forest and back to the school.

Sky and Calypso make their way to the greenhouse, but Calypso stops outside.

"Go, I'll speak to him after." Calypso said

She waits a few minutes before Sky and Ben walk out of the greenhouse. Sky continues walking, but Ben stops in front of her.

"He's waiting for you." Ben said

"Thank you, Ben." Calypso said

Ben smiles at her before walking off. Calypso takes a deep breath before walking into the greenhouse. She sees Saul sitting on a bench staring off into the greenery.

"Hey." Calypso said

Saul looks up at her.

"Hey." Saul said

"Mind if I sit?" Calypso asked

Saul moves over and Calypso sits down next to him. The two sit in silence for a few minutes before Saul speaks up.

"You're an idiot." Saul said

"I know, but I couldn't wait around for you to die. I had to do something." Calypso said

"Why do you care so much?" Saul asked

"I care because you're my person, you're the only person who understands me, and I love you." Calypso said 

Saul stays silent.

"I'm sorry, I've said too much. I should go." Calypso said

She gets up to leave, but Saul pulls her into a kiss. The two kiss for a few seconds before pulling away, leaning their foreheads on each other.

"I love you, too." Saul said

Later that night, Ben, Farah, Saul, and Calypso are in Farah's office.

"Bloom came to me tonight. She had a memory of the fairy that left her in the human world. It was Rosalind." Farah revealed

"Oh shit." Ben said

"My thoughts exactly." Farah said

"What did you tell her?" Saul asked

"That she was dead." Farah replied

"Why?" Ben asked

"Bloom has the potential to be one of the most powerful fairies the Otherworld has ever known. If Rosalind is calling to her, there's a reason. We can never let the two of them meet." Farah said

"Rosalind. Still screwing us over even after all these years." Calypso said

She sighs and leans her back into Saul's chest.
