A small but decently filled energon mine was discovered back on Cybertron. Why it hadn't been discovered before was unknown to everyone on the Nemesis, but they didn't mind if it meant taking the chance to find the fuel away from the Autobots.
Knockout was sent with a mining team to go check it out and to begin mining the crystals. There was one safe entrance into it but they would have to go through a thick wall of ice to get to the cave. Knockout signaled for the drills to do their thing and the loud machines sliced through the ice with little trouble. Now with a tunnel to go through, Knockout and the team headed into the mine.
Vehicons started mining the crystals and others drilled more tunnels. Knockout observed and made sure everything was running smoothly. Glancing at a sheet of ice, he admired his reflection and checked himself out. His icy surroundings made his finish stand out.
"Sir." A vehicon said, disturbing his admiration.
"Yes. What? What is it?" He growled.
"We've found something you may want to take a look at, sir." The vehicon explained.
"Show me then." Knockout was curious, but what could be so extraordinary about an energon mine?
"This way." The vehicon turned and headed into one of the tunnels, Knockout following.
The tunnel opened up to a great open cavernous space. Giant ice spikes were hanging from the ceiling and sprouting up from the floor. However, the most interesting part of this place wasn't the spikes or the energon crystals, but the giant chunk of ice in the middle of the space.
Knockout's optics widened and he stood there in shock for many seconds. How was this possible? He pressed his comlink.
"Soundwave, tell Shockwave to come here. There's something he may want to see."
