♡ Part 127: to the top ♡

sasuke: i didn't think it was possible for you to love me. 

sakura snapped her head towards sasuke and the sun shined brighter onto the two of them. 

sasuke: but you made it happen. you did something i didn't think was possible, hmph. 

sakura: sasuke. 

she sighed and tightened her grip over his hand. she didn't want him to feel like that, ever. she wanted him to know that he was worthy of being loved and vyse versa. he didn't have to feel that way anymore because he was clearly proven wrong. she wasn't the only one who loved him, many others loved him too. 

he just needed a small push to the top. 

sakura: c'mon let's go. 

TO HIDAN

hidan: if it weren't for him, i wouldn't be here with you. 

shikamaru: if it weren't for her, i wouldn't be here with you

the couple sat in the latter's living room with a bowl of chips in front of them and drinks to their sides, they closed all the curtains and watched a hockey game together like usual. the only difference this time was that a sudden urge to talk about their relationship spurred into the air. although while they did so, 2 certain people were brought up. 

shikamaru: she saved us, and she didn't judge me for hurting you. what a drag, even after finding out what happened, she still stayed by my side and helped me through it even though i was the one in the wrong. sakura, she's special. 

hidan ran his hair through his boyfriend's locks of raven, long hair and kept his scrutinizing gaze onto it. 

hidan: he was the one who chose to be my friend and support me even though it's only been a few months that we've known each other. sasuke's not a dumb fucker after all. 

it was simple─ both shikamaru and hidan understood that even if it was unintentional, sasuke and sakura still played a part as to why their relationship was as strong as it was. they loved each other unconditionally and somehow, in some twisted way, that helped shikamaru and hidan want to strive to be that way too when it came to their own relationship. 

hidan: they're something, that's for sure. 

shikamaru smiled and stared into an open space, his mind replaying the days he wasn't close with sasuke and sakura versus the when he was close with them now. 

the difference in his happiness back then and now was too large. 

TO INO

ino: oh really?! thank you sai, you're so sweet! i guess these books that you've been reading are actually helping you. 

she pecked her boyfriend's cheek and he awkwardly chuckled. 

sai: i mean, don't thank the books, they haven't done anything and I returned them to the library. sasuke was the one who actually taught me this, or at least i learned from him. 

ino: sai, what?

sai: i mean, i watched sasuke for a long time now. 

ino froze for a moment and tried to think of what he said in any other way other than creepy, but she simply couldn't. her jaw dropped and her blue eyes were left wide. 

ino: you've been stalking sasuke? is this why his socks went missing last week?!! you're such an idiot!

sai quickly shook his head and brought his hands up in defense of what seemed to be an odd confession.

sai: no what i mean is that he was my, i guess, role model for love. he's similar to me in a lot of ways. 

ino: who are you kidding? he's not nearly as creepy as you are.
