Chapter 15

You startled awake to the sound of an unfamiliar alarm going off followed by a voice you couldn't immediately place, swearing.

"Oh shi- I'm sorry."

As you rubbed your eyes, the memories of the day before came back to you and you remembered that it was Tendou who was in the room with you.

You stifled a yawn as you told him not to worry about it. Pulling your blanket up to your nose, you turned on your side to face him. He had closed his eyes again, still holding his phone.

"Did you have a good night?" You asked him, your voice still a bit heavy from sleep. His eyes slowly opened again at the sound of your voice.

"Yeah, yeah I did... Once you stopped snoring that is." He replied with a chuckle, ruffling your feathers instantly.

"That is not true! I know, because you fell asleep first!" You said, propping yourself up on one elbow, puffing your cheeks up in indignation.

"I did?" He asked, seeming like he genuinely had a hard time believing you.

"Yeah! It hadn't even been fifteen minutes since we had gone to bed and you were out like a light!" You told him, laughing. 

He remained silently staring up at the ceiling for a while before turning in your direction. "Well, the mattress is very soft."

"Nothing but the best for my guests!" You tried to sound energetic, but it was clear that you were still somewhat groggy from waking up. "What time is it anyway?"

"A little over Seven-thirty." Came his response and you could not suppress a groan.

"You set your alarm that early on the weekend? That's insane." You complained, laid back down, and pulled the blanket over your head. 

"I would have turned it off if I hadn't forgotten about it." He defended himself after which you heard the rustling of his sheets followed by his bare feet on the wooden floor. You got curious and peeked from underneath your blanket just in time to see him stretch.

His shirt lifted up as he raised his arms and you caught a glimpse of his bare back. You quickly hid again and tried to will the heat rising up to your cheeks away. You failed miserably.

"Is it alright if I use the bathroom first then, sleepyhead?" He asked you and you could already hear him rummage through his bag before you gave an answer.

"Yeah sure. I'll just take my time to wake up, like a normal person." You replied, raising your voice a little so he could understand you from underneath the blanket.

"Okay, I'll be downstairs scavenging for breakfast if that's okay?" He asked and this time his voice sounded farther away, he had probably already made his way to the door.

A very uncharming snort left your nose before you could help it and you tried to cover it up by laughing a bit before replying. "Good luck with that. It's back to the konbini for us."

"Really? You don't even have any cereal or something? Cookies and milk?" He said, sounding very unimpressed.

"Nope." You said, unphased, and finally poked your head out from under the blanket. "Also, 'milk and cookies' is not a proper breakfast."

"It is if you want it to be." He retorted and as you watched him lean against the doorframe, you thought to yourself that he was enjoying this way too much.

"It's too early for this. Just go get changed already and leave me be." You said and pulled the blanket back over your head in a dramatic fashion.

You heard him chuckle before you heard the sound of the door opening and being closed again.
