Louis blinked a few times, slowly, while his expression of confusion only deepened.

"You're gay?", he asked, shocked, which didn't quite make sense to Harry because was he really that oblivious? Harry didn't hide his interest in guys at all and didn't think for a second that anyone from the whole school would even dare to say that he was anything near being straight!

But here he was, looking Louis Tomlinson straight in the face and only seeing someone being just as confused as himself.

"You didn't know? I thought everybody knew!"

"We know.", Liam spoke up next to them, while pointing at Zayn and practically the whole football team, who was sitting on the benches next to them.

Harry's head flew around as fast as Louis' did, although he was missing the stupidly confused expression. Instead, it was replaced with a relieved one because thank god for the brain given to this kid!

"You know?"

Louis looked at his friends with his face long from the betrayal he just experienced.

Now it was Liam's turn to be confused. "I mean yeah? Basically the whole school knows. Have you even looked at him? I've never seen anyone more gay!" He turned around to look at Harry. "No offence."

"None taken.", Harry replied with a laugh.

Liam had always been his favourite out of all the boys on the football team, because he never judged anything Harry did, just because he didn't like the boys' attraction to other boys. He also wasn't that insecure homophobic person who believed that Harry must be in love with him, just because he liked his gender.

Liam was a nice guy and Harry would go as far and call him his friend, although he was best mates with Louis. Very attractive Louis, which sadly didn't hide the fact that he was an asshole. Or straight to begin with.

"So I am the only one from the whole school that doesn't know?", Louis slowly started to speak again, "How is that even possible?"

"I don't know man, but you're setting a new record for stupidity right now."

Zayn chuckled, but bursted out laughing when he saw the bitter look Louis was giving him because of the, for the captain very embarrassing, but sadly true, comment.

A few seconds there was an awkward silence before Louis shook his head and mumbled that they should change and start training. Everyone agreed to escape the uncomfortable tension the situation provided.

~~~
"Okay I think we did enough, training is over, see you tomorrow guys."
Harry was in a really bad mood when he started his way to the changing rooms. Louis ignoring him over the entire of practice didn't sit right with him at all. Especially not when he was one of the best players on the team. And definitely not that it was right after the guy found out he was gay!
"Oh and Styles..."
Harry turned around to Louis, surprised at his captain suddenly talking to him again.
"Yeah?", he asked confused. He saw Louis furrowing his eyebrows and looking startled for a second before his face hardened and Harry couldn't tell anymore, what the other boy must be feeling. But he never knew what Louis was thinking so he was kind of used to it.
"You sucked today. I expect you to be better next time."
With that Louis turned around again and started collecting the footballs.
To say Harry was shocked was an understatement. His jaw was basically laying on the ground.
But he was also offended because who the hell does this asshole think he is? Yes Harry had been a little uneasy today with it being the first day back at school after the holidays, him wearing a skirt, which didn't really get him many nice looks, and finding out that Louis didn't know he was gay. But he still was better than most of the team at practice!
