Into every generation comes a vampire.

Louis walked into the lunchroom the next day looking around, he spotted Harry and his siblings but quickly sat down when he saw how Harry looked at him. When he sat down Eric saw him and smiled.

"Hey! La Push baby, you in?" Louis had never heard of that and was confused. "Should I know what that means?" he said with a confused smile. Mike answered his question quickly, "La Push beach down on the reservation, we're all going tomorrow". Louis then seemed more interested knowing Jacob lived around there.

Angela saw him hesitating and decided to chip in, she didn't wanna be alone. "Come with us, it'll be fun," she said giving Louis a smile. Louis gave in and agreed to go, besides, he needed to get out and clear his mind.

Louis heard his stomach growl and walked away to get his food. He was looking at the salads when he heard a voice from behind him. "Edible art?", Louis jumped and turned to see Harry catching the apple Louis dropped when he jumped. "You know, your mood swings are kinda giving me whiplash," Louis said walking around Harry.

"I only said it was better if we weren't friends, not that I didn't wanna be," Harry said leaning closer. Louis felt like his brain was gonna explode, "what does that even mean?". Harry took a few seconds to gather his words, thinking of what to say.

"That means if you were smart you'd stay away from me" Louis couldn't help but roll his eyes. He turned to Harry and crossed his arms. "Let's say for argument sake I'm not smart. Would you tell me the truth?" Harry immediately shook his head like he expected that, "no, probably not. I'd rather hear your theories".

Louis laughed, his theories were comical and impossible, but Harry wanted to hear. He shrugged and said, "I have considered radioactive spiders and kryptonite." He knew how stupid it sounded and felt his face heat up. "That's all superhero stuff, what if I'm not the hero? What if I'm the bad guy?"

Louis stopped and looked up, he saw how serious Harry was. Louis may not know Harry well, but something told him Harry would never hurt him. "You're not, I can see what you're doing. You're trying to keep people away, it's a mask." He saw how Harry's face changed and decided to let it go, again.

He let out a sigh, "why don't we just hang out? Everyone is going to the beach, come." Harry was looking down with a smile, and for some reason, Louis felt his heart race at the sight. "Which beach?" Harry asked finally looking up. "La Push".

Harry leaned against the salad bar, "I don't know". "Is there something wrong with that beach?" Louis asked, he really hoped Harry was able to come. Harry looked at his table and back to him, "It's just a little crowded". Louis just nodded his head, and for once he walked away first, trying to ignore the stare burning into his skull.

Louis regrets saying yes to the beach. It was windy, cold, and he couldn't feel his nose. "I keep thinking Eric is gonna ask me to the prom, and he just doesn't," Angela told Louis with a humorless chuckle. "You should ask him. Take control, you're a strong independent woman," Louis said looking up at Angela. She seemed small when she asked, "I am?" Louis couldn't believe she couldn't see the power she holds. Louis nodded with a smile.

Louis looked away when he hurt footsteps coming closer, he smiled brightly when he saw it was Jacob, but he didn't recognize the two boys with him. "Bella!" Jake said with a smile when he arrived. Louis greeted him back, introducing Jake to his friends. "Guys, this is Jacob. He's a friend of mine".

After they greeted one another Jacob sat down beside him. "What are you doing? Stalking me?" Louis asked sending him a teasing smile. Jacob let out a laugh, teasing him back, "You're on my reservation remember. Are you surfing?" He asked seeing the others in the water. Louis shuddered at the thought of being in the cold water, "Definitely not".
