This was requested by Anime1crybaby from Wattpad. This takes place in modern times. Since Teyvat is it's own continent, let's just say that it is a continent in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, where it's influenced by a bunch of different cultures.

"Lisa," (Y/n) said, walking over to the gorgeous librarian with a book in hand. "Is it ok if I can check this book out? I need it for my history report."

"Of course," Lisa smiled, taking the book from (Y/n) so she could put it as checked out into the librarian system. "What is your history class making you write about this time?"

"Any war in history that we feel like writing about," (Y/n) sighed. "I'm not really excited about that though. I'd rather be writing about small moments that should be appreciated more."

"Like?" Lisa asked, handing the book back to (Y/n).

"Tiananmen Square Tank Man," (Y/n) said. "He was an unknown Chinese man who had stopped the tanks the day after the Tiananmen Square incident where they were suppressing protesters. He's unknown, but he sure made history it's sad that they can't talk about it, since China doesn't have freedom of speech like America does."

"Sound like your college is making you guys suffer." Lisa chuckled.

"School does that," (Y/n) took the book back. "I'll be in the comfy chairs in the corner, I'm gonna start reading and marking what I'll need for my essay."

"You have your stuff back there?" Lisa asked.

"Yep," (Y/n) sighed. "Sadly. So many notecards, so much text, so little time."

        "Good luck then." Lisa waved.

(Y/n) was typing away on her computer, just starting her introduction. She had gotten most of the note cards she needed done, but then there was the problem of needing even more note cards for her main three paragraphs, the paragraph for the other side and then debunking that, and then the conclusion. "I curse all history teachers that make us students do this kind of thing in the middle of the school year..."

"Having some trouble?" A familiar voice made (Y/n) look over, seeing her childhood friend, Xingqiu.

"Yeah..." (Y/n) sighed, closing her laptop and leaned back in the comfy chair. "I'm starting to think that majoring in History wasn't my best option for college."

"And yet you were the top of our history class since 5th grade," Xingqiu teased, sitting in the comfy chair next to hers, the only thing separating them was a round end table and a lamp. "You remember all the stuff from our history class from 5th grade and back. How do you do that?"

"The same way you remember everything from our English classes from 4th grade," (Y/n) teased back. Her childhood friend could remember everything he's ever read when it comes to book he liked. "You're majoring in English, aren't you? What book are you guys reading for the semester?"

"Old Man and the Sea," Xingqiu shrugged his shoulders. "I don't like the book as much, but it is not that bad. I kinda wish I could've read something different?"

"Like?" (Y/n) asked, putting the computer on the end table.

"Legend of the Scattered Haberd sounds good." Xingqiu said.

"You read that book back in middle school," (Y/n) laughed, remembering what her friend was like in middle school. Her and Chongyun had to keep directing Xingqiu the correct way to their class, along with having to cover for him when the teacher would call on him. Chongyun gave up when Sophomore year of high school came, and (Y/n) has still been trying to make sure he doesn't run into anything. "Chongyun gave up on directing you the right way, even now he doesn't."

"True," Xingqiu chuckled. "I'm still surprised he decided to drop college and work at the Teyvat Café."

"He, he loves cold sweets, and the café has amazing parfaits and their ice cream is amazing," (Y/n) remembered she had visited Chongyun at his work place, and he recommended the Pixie Paimon Smoothie. "The smoothies are amazing too."

"I can imagine," Xingqiu said, smiling. "Hey, do you wanna go get some Boba Tea? I'm sure we both could use a snack."

"You sure? You're not a big fan of sweet things," (Y/n) said, raising an eyebrow. "I should know. You barley eat candy when it comes to birthday parties when we were younger."

"Hey, I'm fine with it." Xingqiu said, getting up from the chair. "Now let's go!"

"Mm!" (Y/n) smiled as she drank her Boba Tea. It was a (favorite flavor tea) with the chewy tapioca pearls. She always loved getting a nice snack. "Thanks again for paying, but you really didn't have to do that."

"Hey, you paid for my lunch last week," Xingqiu said. (Y/n) had to pay for her, him, and Chongyun the last time they all got lunch together. "it's the least I can do for making you pay when we got lunch with Chongyun."

"I told you guys, it was my treat," (Y/n) sighed, sipping her tea. "You guys honestly need to stop fussing over whenever I pay for lunch or food. You both keep either paying for snacks or not letting me pay." Yeah, Chongyun has been making (Y/n) not pay whenever she goes to the café, since he still is trying to pay her back for lunch.

"Still," Xingqiu sighed. "You really gotta let us pay for stuff."

"Hey, I'm making good money," (Y/n) hit her friends chest lightly. "Working for Ningguan and working with Keqing has been great, and Ganyu is such a sweetie. Not all of us were born with a silver spoon in our mouths and handed things to us on a silver platter."

"Ok ok," Xingqiu chuckled. He remembered the expensive gifts he had gotten for (Y/n) on her birthdays and the holidays. Of course, (Y/n) scolded him for that, telling him that she didn't want anything expensive because even though him and his family are wealthy, expensive gifts are not everything. "I'll try and not pay you back, as much."

"How about not paying me back at all?" (Y/n) asked, sighing. "Honestly..."

"Hey, wanna go to the movies this weekend?" Xingqiu asked, sipping his tea. "There's a new movie out I wanna see, but because you and I haven't seen a movie in a movie theater in a while, I thought it would be nice to go see it."

"Sure, want me to text Chongyun and see if he wants to join us?" She asked, grabbing her phone from her back pocket and put in her passcode to unlock it. (Y/n) has been making some good money, enough to get (brand of phone you currently have).

"No, how about it's just you and me?" Xingqiu asked, a small blush on his face. He's been working up the courage to try and ask (Y/n) on a date, but he's always chickened out and invited Chongyun with them. He had to ask his older brother for advice, but he was no help.

"Like, a date?" (Y/n) asked, her face going a little red.

"Uh, yeah," Xingqiu asked, scratching the back of his head. He couldn't look at (Y/n), but the color of his face was giving him away. "Is that alright?"

"Yeah, totally," (Y/n) smiled. "What time?"

        "1pm?" He asked.

        "Works for me."

"Would you like me to accompany you to your next class?"

        "I would love that."
