During the next week, you looked up different recipes for Belgian chocolates. You wanted it to be easy enough so you could actually bring it to a good end, but impressive enough to wow your classmates.
You decided that it would probably be best to make a simple praline, using an intricate mold to make it look more impressive. You found a video detailing the process and it seemed like something you should be able to handle.
When you had your club activities that week you made sure to ask the senior members as much advice as you could, without going overboard. They were able to give you a few tips, such as making sure the chocolate was tempered correctly and some simple but effective tips for decorating.
You also made sure to order some tools and ingredients online, to have them delivered to your house on Saturday since you would not be able to find them in your local konbini or supermarket.
Thinking about making the chocolates had you so preoccupied that you almost forgot that you would have to work on the actual presentation as well. Most of the text was ready, it just needed some tweaking here and there. You still had to practice actually giving the presentation itself though. You would have to divide the text between the two of you and practice saying it out loud at least a few times.
You didn't know about Tendou, but you were determined to learn your part by heart so you would be able to recite the text without using your paper as a guide.
The week went by in a flash and Friday evening was upon you. You made the train ride home on your own, as usual, but as you entered the house it immediately gave off a different air.
If all had gone to plan, your mother and father had left on their business trips this morning. The car was gone, so you figured they had driven to the airport. While your parents were rarely home when you came back from school, still it was always different when they were actually out of town for the weekend or longer.
Deciding to try and focus on the fun things you had planned for the weekend, you went to eat something for dinner before heading to the bathroom for a well-deserved soak in the tub.
Before you went to bed you confirmed the hour you had agreed upon again with Tendou and ended staying up a little later than you had planned, chatting with him.
The next morning you woke to the sound of your doorbell. You shot up and threw on the first clothes you found, before rushing downstairs. The delivery guy gave you a strange look before handing over a box to you and asking you to sign for the delivery.
You bid him a good day before dropping the box off in the kitchen and heading back upstairs to put on some clothes that actually made sense. After making sure that you now looked decent, hair included, you headed back down to the kitchen to open the package of baking goods.
When you pulled open the flaps you suddenly remembered that you might have went a little overboard with your shopping.
Especially the molds had been difficult to resist buying a lot of. There were so many pretty ones though, and you had no idea which ones Tendou would like so you got a bit of everything.
You had also bought an extra, alternate version of each tool you needed, just to be sure.
There was still some time left before Tendou should arrive, so you decided to give everything a rinse already while you waited.
When the bell rang for the second time that day you at least looked decent as you went to let Tendou in.
He had his bag slung over his shoulder as usual and you were glad he had come to you after class one day to ask if he should bring a sleeping bag or blankets or something. You had reassured him that you had everything covered apart from his personal items, like pjs, a toothbrush, things like that.
