"Year, Malak, you've been a prefect for 1 single year and don't get me started on your performance."
"Go back to your cauldron bottoms, Head-Boy" she retorted, faking an offended tone.
And with loud huff, Percy went back inside.
"Why, Malak, why?" Fred complained dramatically.
"Well, your mom was going to have a heart attack" Malak started, "she thought it was the two of you and she was ready to come and kill you herself."
"So you came to do her dirty work, huh?" George
"No, I came to shield you from her wrath. Without my distractions, you two could very well be dead by now."
"I can thing of something that would indeed take our mom's mind off us, Malaki. Wouldn't you say, Fred?" the twin spoke.
"Yeah, I reckon if she knew what we saw this morning, the last thing she would be thinking about would be our mischief..."
"What did you see, then?" Ron asked.
At this point, Malak had to make an enormous effort to not glance at Charlie, who was actually fidgeting and nervously wondering how the Egyptian witch was going to get out of it. She did however see from the corner of her eye Bill elbowing him and snickering.
Malak kept her cool, and with a devious tone she asked "Fred? Please, do answer Ron, if you dare."
But she knew very well he was not going to be able to, since oldest twin was now having a dramatic fit of heaving, that resulted on him throwing up a living rat —yes, a living brown rodent of about the size of a fist, much to the amusement and disgust of the spectators.
"That should teach you not to think about ratting out a friend, Freddie" Malak snickered.
Fred regained his composure and gave Malak a stare that, for the inexpert eye might have seemed to be an angry one, but the witch knew he was just trying to hold his laughter.
"You are teaching me how to do that" he finally spoke, unable to contain a smirk.
"Only if you promise to use it for pranking purposes and against the Slytherins."
"You've got yourself a deal Miss Aboul Gheit," Fred agreed, offering her his hand. "Truce."
"Truce."
After the affair was resolved without any blood split, and everybody headed inside to help bring the dishes out, Charlie approached Malak and whispered "looks like you have it all under control, Malaki."
"I don't want to be caught... yet" the Egyptian whispered back, making him smile and shake his head.
"You are going to be the death of me, bunny."
By seven o'clock, the two tables were groaning under dishes and dishes of Mrs. Weasley's excellent cooking, and the nine Weasleys, Malak, Harry, and Hermione were settling themselves down to eat beneath a clear, deep-blue sky.
In the middle of the table, Mrs. Weasley was arguing with Bill about his earring, which seemed to be a recent acquisition.
"... with a horrible great fang on it. Really, Bill, what do they say at the bank?"
