you groaned as a beeping sound suddenly emerged your ear drums. it was now a monday, meaning it was your first day at west valley high school.
you moved your head and faced your alarm before lazily turning it off and getting up.
you walked out into the hall to see eric sitting on the couch watching the news.
"morning kid." eric said as he took a sip of coffee, his eyes glued to the tv screen.
"yeah," you said in a groggy voice as you walked to the kitchen and ate a banana.
after you finished eating your morning snack you made your way back to your room to figure out what you were going to wear.
it was you first day, you had to look nice right?
wrong.
all you put on was grey sweatpants and a large black t-shirt and black high top converse.
your room began to smell like cherry as you sprayed perfume on and applied a little mascara.
you grabbed your black backpack and walked out into the kitchen with earbuds on starring at your uncle waiting by the door.
"are you going to walk? o-or do you want me to drive you?" eric said confusingly.
you gave him a soft smile before continuing, "please drive me. my legs are killing me!" you said exaggerating the pain.
eric gave you a smile before opening the door and the two of you walking out.

the car arrived at the drop of station in front of the high-school.
"holy shit it's big." you muttered as you looked out the window astonished.
"yeah, i used to go to school here. kinda sucked." eric said looking at the school in amazement too.
"well kid, i hope you have a good day." eric said handing you, your backpack. "oh and um," eric said while he rummaged through his pockets. "here, the spare keys. i won't be here when you get home." he said as he held the keys in his hand.
you gave him a soft smile and took the keys from him and put them in your backpack.
you opened the car door and stood there for a while before giving your uncle a soft smile and shutting the door.
"oh fuck" you muttered.
you walked through a group of kids before you stood in front of the door anxious on if you should go in or not.
you stood there confused at how many kids there were in this school, you didn't even know where to go.
you could see the office though which was great because that's where you needed to go anyways.
"y/n!" a voice shouted catching your attention.
you turned your head around and saw miguel standing next to someone else.
they walked towards you and miguel had a smile plastered on his face.
"y/n, this is my friend d-" "demetri." miguel said before he was cut off my the guy next to him.
"hi i'm y/n." you said putting your hand out. he awkwardly took it before starring at your ears.
"are those earrings really gold or are they plated?" he said coming closer to you.
"i, don't know." you said moving back causing you to bump into someone.
"watch it." the voice said in a raspy tone, "shit sorry." you replied as your e/c eyes met a pair blueish grayish eyes.
"oh and y/n, this is h-"
"hawk." the blueish grayish eyes said finishing miguel's sentence.
you snorted, putting a hand over your mouth to contain your laughter.
"please you have to be joking!" you said with a wheeze causing hawk to look at you confusingly.
"you have to have some other name!" you said containing your laughter.
hawk looked rather annoyed by your laughter but he didn't wanna answer your question.
"eli, eli moskowitz." demetri said, "thats his real name. he calls himself hawk because of the manic panic hair." demetri said in a sarcastic tone.
"oh, well i like your hair." you said feeling bad for laughing at him earlier.
"i'm y/n l/n." you said with a smile causing hawk to smirk a little.
you couldn't help but notice the scar on his lip, you think it looked pretty fucking cool.
hawk took notice of this though and snapped his fingers in front of your eye causing you to flinch.
"eyes up here princess." he said.
your heart melted at the raspy ness of his voice.
"sorry, it's just the scar looks cool. kinda reminds me of anakin skywalker." you said with a side smile.
"um i gotta go to the office for the tours though!" you said turning back to miguel and demetri.
"bye!" you said before you ran off.
"how do you know her?" demetri said starring at miguel.
"she's my neighbor." miguel replied earning a smirk from hawk.
"she's hot." demetri added starring off into the direction you ran in.
"dude." hawk said while shaking his head in a disapproving manner.
"what! am i wrong?" demetri said.
"whatever." miguel added before the three of them walked away.
hawk just stood there starring at the spot where you once stood. many thoughts racing his mind before he walked off.
