Dear Writer,

I forget what day it is but I think I'm overdue on my post. Blood, sweat, and tears. What do you think of when you read those words? Your WIP (WILLY IS PRETTY)? Your life?

Writing is easy sometimes. We get this urge and then, before we know it, we've got a chapter done and then it's on to the next. From one story to another to another. But other times, writing can be really hard. The dreaded illness known as Writer's Block comes to pay a visit and it's the worst thing, especially if you have a deadline. This is where the blood, sweat, and tears come in. You've got blood because maybe you got angry and hit your computer (don't do that, it hurts). The sweat from the pressure or not being able to write fast enough for your brain. And finally, the tears for when you just can't do it anymore. The late nights, the sudden urges. And that's the end of it, right? No! There's tears for when you finally write those two words on the very last page. There are tears for when someone writes something amazing about your work! Tears for when your friend comes over with ice cream because he/she understands.

There are so many things that can go wrong and they make you want to cry but don't forget about the happiest of times.

Let me tell you something, all that blood, all that sweat, and all those tears are greatly appreciated. Writers are not told that enough and people in general are not told that enough. So, let me just say, I appreciate you.

One of my friends reached that step. I'm sure y'all have heard of her. The great Rebecca  "Red" Sky typed those two words today. She did what we're all trying to do. She was strong enough to keep going even though I'm sure she had some issues. This girl is amazing, honestly. I'm not sure there's anyone quite like her. If you don't know her personally, you've got to check out her stories. She's such an inspiration without even knowing it. I can give some encouragment here but she's the real life proof. I can't explain how proud I am of her and you should be too! Even if you don't know her, this is what I've been talking abou all along, you should support her. Go leave a message on her board congratulating her or post it here. Also, if you want a sneak peek at the work she just finished, you can look up the Wattpad Block Party and she has a piece in there. Warning: If you read it, you will get hooked. Just warning you now.

See you guys later!

For Red: You're amazing. I'm so so so proud of you! That book is gonna be a hit! I can't wait to buy a copy! You're the best my Whiskey Sister.
