Grabbing his coat and drumsticks, placing them into his bag. Luke's jaw dropped in disbelief; not only was Alex ditching band practice but Mercer was using a backpack.
A deep voice cut the tension in the room, causing Alex to slow down. "And where do you think you're going?" Bobby spoke from his spot in the garage.
Alex huffed, placing his hand on his hip as he stared at his band mates in annoyance, "I'm going to a ballet performance," The teen replied dramatically.
The idea of Alex going to a ballet performance captivated the other three teenage boys. Reggie scratched his head in confusion, was Alex a secret ballet dancer?
"Why are you going to ballet?" "Why didn't you ask me to come with you?" "Are the girls hot?"
Bobby, Luke and Reggie bombarded Alex with questions, overwhelming the blond.
"Okay first of all I'm feeling very attacked," Alex replied placing his hand on his heart whilst taking a step back from Sunset Curve, "My friend is performing." He answered simply.
The boys continued to stare at their drummer, Alex now beginning to ramble, "I didn't ask anyone to come because I thought you'd find it boring but if you guys wanna join me you're more than welcome to." Alex cleared his throat, rubbing at the back of his neck, "Maybe you can even meet her."
"She's really cool." He added, attempting to convince the unamused teenagers in-front of him.
Sunset Curve grimaced at the thought, why would they ever want to sit through a ballet recital? Ballet is boring and there is no doubt that Alexander's friend would be a stuck up, self absorbed, bratty, princess.
"I'd rather die." Luke stated, turning away from his friend and placing his focus on the instrument around his shoulder.
Alex rolled his eyes at his band mates seeing as they haven't given Antonella a chance, "I get that it sounds boring but please just give the recital and Nella a chance. She's really cool."
Bobby raised his brows, "Cool? How?"
Alex shrugged, picking up his backpack and placing it on his left shoulder, "She likes music like us...oh. She plays some instruments too."
"Like guitar?" Luke asked.
"Yeah guitar and keyboard."
Reginald couldn't help but smile, as his best friend continued to ramble about the girl, the bassist listened to his description imagining what she would look like.
"So when do we leave?"

"Hey Lex!" The curly haired ballerina greeted her best friend.
"You killed it Nella." He cheered turning to look at her with a bright smile before engulfing her in a big, warm hug.
"Stop it, making me blush." She giggle, jokingly looking down, "So who are your cute friends?"
"Y-You think we're cute?" The leather-jacket wearing one questioned whilst playing with the chain hanging off his pocket. His comment caused Alex to roll his eyes.
"The tall one is Bobby, leather jacket is Reggie and this is Luke." Each boy responded differently; Bobby smirking at the short girl in front of him, Reggie shyly waving whilst his cheeks become a flustered shade of red and Luke stuck his hand out. In turn Antonella reciprocated his action by grabbing his hand and pulling him into a hug.
"Sorry "Rush," I'm just so excited to finally meet you, Lex talks about you all the time." This comment only caused the no-sleeve-wearing teen to smile brightly up at his now blushing friend,
Alex's blue eyes widened as he immediately turned to Luke, "N-not all the time, I'd say a reasonable amount, nothing too weird just-" He continued to ramble. Antonella placed a hand on his bicep getting him to calm down. Truth be told Alex had a small crush on his band mate but Luke didn't swing that way. At least that's what he thought.
"Rush?" Luke questioned whilst grinning at the ballerina.
"Yeah we got Fanny-pack, Rush, Leather Jacket and Stripes," She smiled at them as she pointed out their noticeable physical attributes.
"Alex talks about you all the time by the way, he failed to mention how hot you were though." This comment from Bobby resulted in a smack on the arm from Luke and a scoff from Alex.
"Bit forward of you stripes."
"Excuse his lame attempt of flirting," Luke said trying to make sure that their first meeting was going swimmingly, he knows how highly Alex thinks of his best friend and therefore wanted to make sure the band's first meeting with her wouldn't be disastrous.
"Why would he mention if she's pretty or not? He's gay." The raven-haired boy questioned.
The summer of Sunset Curve wanted nothing more than his band-mates and best friend to get along.
Unknown to Nella, Alex had been feeling very neglected and quite lonely in the past weeks, it wasn't her fault but she had become extra busy with all of the ballet showcases and the practice needed.
He understood the pressure her mother exerted considering she was the owner of the ballet studio. Antonella was the best of the best when it came to ballet, she has been training since she was one. Her mother was a ballerina as was her nonna so it was expected she become one too. Her mother wasn't physically abusive but she did control Antonella in many ways, that included controlling her friends and hobbies.
Truth be told Alex resent Nella's mother, her time with him was already limited seeing as they went to different schools; Alexander was feeling neglected due to their lack of time together, he was hoping Sunset Curves first meeting with Nella would go well so they'd have an excuse to hang out more.
"So..." Nella started before trailing off, she wanted to ease some of the awkward tension that was created by the previous comments from dumb and dumber "What did you think?" she said smiling after locking eyes with "Leather Jacket."
"I-I-It was amazing, I mean you looked like a princess up there, you know it was graceful and I don't really know much about ballet but i'm pretty sure you were crushing it, I've never seen anything as beautiful as you, oh my god it was just... wow" Reggie rambled making big gestures with his hands to emphasise his point.
Alex raised his eyebrow; Reggie was usually chill and quite smooth around women. Bobby and Luke had to turn around briefly snickering at their nervous bass player who was stuttering at the sight of a pretty ballerina.
"I'm flattered," She replied with a light tone in her voice making Reggie's sweet smile expand.
"Are you guys hungry?"
"What are thinking Princess?" Luke joked motioning to her outfit.
