Mira's POV

"Hey I just met you. And this is crazy. But here's my number so call me maybe."

I was in the kitchen when I heard my phone ringing in the living room. I quickly ran to get it.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey it's Jay."
"Oh hi. By the way sorry about the text you got earlier. I only texted you that so Jacob would leave me alone. You're gonna have to pick me up earlier."
"Oh good so we're still going out?" I could hear the relief in his voice.
"Yep. Jacob thinks he's coming over to hang out at 7 so we have to be gone by then." I explained.
"Umm ok. I'll pick you up 6 then."

It was 5:30 when I finally decided to change out of my comfy sweats. I was now wearing a dark red tank top, light blue jean shorts, some white flip flops, and I decided to go with no make up and my hair in a bun. I was ready early so I decided to read Percy Jackson on the kindle app on my phone. I was in a really good spot when Jay texted me that he'll be here in a minute.

"Ugh I don't wanna stop reading. It's at such a good part." I grumbled as I closed the app. I dragged myself off my bed and drudged down stairs.

"Hey twerp." Cameron said as I passed him. My stupid brother should know better then to call me names so I whacked him in the head.

"Oww." He whined.

"You forget that I'm older seaweed brain. Which means I'm still stronger. And cooler."

"Seaweed brain?" He looked at me like I was crazy.

"Percy Jackson."

"No wonder you have no friends." He said and shook his head at me. I rolled my eyes.

"Where's Mom, Dad, and Della?" I asked.

"Dad's getting us Skyline for dinner and Mom's driving Della to her friends house."

"Aww I'm missing Skyline night? Darn!" I complained.

"Wait you're going out?" Cameron looked at me like he was disappointed.

"Ya why... Oh dang it I'm missing Xbox night too. Ugh." Every other Friday night, our parents go on 'date night' and Cameron and I play Xbox. The loser of whatever game we play has to buy the other food. I normally loose but it was still really fun. We've never missed a night.

Just then someone knocked on the door. It must be Jay.

"How bought this, I'll be home by 8, we'll play, then we can go get something to eat tomorrow." I suggested.

"Deal." I smiled and walked to the door.

"Tell Mom and Dad not to let the nit twit Jacob in later. I'll be back to beat your ass later" I said as I walked out the front door.

"Ya right dork!" Cam yelled after me. I slammed the door shut and turned and saw Jay.

"Hey." I said.

"Ready to go?" I nodded and headed to the car parked on my driveway.

"Where's the motorcycle?" I asked.

"I thought it'd be nicer to have a car for tonight."

I looked at the time on my phone. 9:37. I also saw a bunch of texts from Cam.

"Crap!" I yelled.

"What wrong?" Jay asked me.

"I told Cam I'd be home an hour ago. I gotta get home." Jay and I were at a arcade place downtown. Tonight, we went to dinner at Five Guys then we came here. This place had arcade games, go carting, and laser tag. We've done everything but laser tag.

"Oh um ok then. Let's go." Jay said.

When I got home, I thanked Jay for the great night and jumped out of the car. I was about to shut the car door and turned back to Jay.

"You wanna come in?" I asked him.

"Nah it's ok."

"It'll be really funnn."

"What are you doing?" He asked. I explained everything and Jay slowly nodded his head.

"Uh sure why not."

"Great come on." Jay got out of the car and followed me up the driveway. I unlocked the door and the first thing I saw was Cameron's disapproving stare.

"You're late. And that Jacob dude was knocking on the door for a half and hour. He thought I was lying and you were hiding in your room. He's annoying as fuck by the way." He grumbled.
"Sorry sorry sorry." I said repeatedly.
"Whatever. Who's this?" Cam gestured to Jay.
"Oh this is Jay. Jay this is my brother Cameron. What game are we playing?" I asked Cam. He he turned and smiled evilly at me.
He made a gesture for us to follow him. He led us to the basement and turned on the Xbox Kinect.
"I hope your boyfriend likes to dance." Cam said.
"He's not my boyfriend. And we're playing Just Dance?" I said excitedly. Cam nodded his head. Just Dance was the only video game I was good at.
"Oh I'm so going to kick your ass. I'm a master dancer." Jay said as Cam set up then game.
"Think again. Cam and I are beasts at this game." I smirked.
"Oh we'll see about that"
