It wasn't easy getting a tent. Alot of people didn't want to sell you one because of what was going on. Which really didn't make sense of course.
But finally, you got one.
You apparated to a protected area deep in the forest. But you weren't stupid. You cast a spell to protect yourself from snatchers.
The Ministery has gone shit house crazy since everything that has happened.
You felt like burning every newspaper with Umbridge's face.
One night, you were so bored. It was now winter and you still haven't found Harry.
You sat down at the small table you had and were drawing on a piece of parchment.
There were many pieces of parchment crumbled up on the floor because they were all failures.
But this one wasn't.
When you were done, you looked at your artwork.
Looking back at you from the parchment was Draco.
It wasn't bad. You could actually tell it was him.
It was getting late and you were getting tired.
You put the drawing in a safe place and layed down on the small bed.
You closed your eyes but then shot back up when you heard someone approaching.
You took out your wand and slowly crept to the entrance of the tent, peeking out.
There was no one there.
You turned around and started to walk back to your bed until someone tackled you.
You struggled to get out of their grip and they got you up and spun you around.
He hugged you instantly. You huggee him back but you were highly confused.
"I cast a protection spell.."
"I think you may have cast it wrong." Said Hermione.
"Hermione! Um..where's Ron?" You asked.
Harry and Hermione looked at each other.
You nodded. It was silent for awhile.
"So, any progress?" You finally asked.
"Well, we found one horcrux." Harry said, showing it to you.
"Why haven't you destroyed it?" You asked.
"It's hard. We need the sword of Godric Gryffindor to destroy it." Hermione said.
"Any chance you might know where the sword is?"
"If we knew, we would have had it by now." Harry answered.
Hermione walked toward the entrance. "I'm going to go cast a cloaking spell. I'll be back."
You and Harry nodded.
When she left, you sat on your bed and sighed. "I was looking for you guys for weeks! I wanted to help you."
Harry laughed. "Well, sorry for that. You didn't have to do that, though."
"I wanted to. What else was I supposed to do? Sit around and twiddle my thumbs?"
"Doesn't Draco sneak out to see you?" Harry said, a teasing smile on his face.
Your smile faded.
Harry's did too. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't know that.."
"What happened? I thought you two were bonded again."
You nodded. "We were. I'm not so sure now. Draco never broke up with me... not even when I found out that he was a deatheater."
"But..the day of the wedding of Bill and Fleur, when I was kidnapped, the deatheaters took me to Malfoy Manor. And guess who's the first person I see?"
You nodded. "The deatheaters left me there with him to go get Bellatrix. We talked and he hugged me, then I just...exploded! I asked him why did he have to be on Voldemort's side. Why not the side of good and he said because he didn't want to live in fear that Voldemort would kill him."
"Doesn't he know that he'll be protected one thousand times better on our side?" Harry wondered.
"He doesn't seem to believe that." You said, staring at the floor.
"So what happened next?"
"I was taken inside and Lucius seen my Love Stone necklace that Bellatrix made Draco hold..."
"Oh no.." Harry commented silently.
"...and of course, it glowed really bright at his touch. Lucius was angered that Draco and I were together and Draco didn't deny it. Lucius demanded him to kill me, but he wouldn't.
So Bellatrix stepped in. She tortured me horribly, Harry. Draco just fell on his knees and stared. When I was unconscious, they thought I was dead and I was dumped in the forest. Neville found me, took me to Hogwarts and when I recovered, I set out to find you."
Harry let it all sink in. "What a story. I'm just glad you're okay."
Hermione came in. "It's done. Oh and Harry, our tent is set up too."
Harry nodded. "Get some rest, (y/n). You're going to need it."
With that said, Harry and Hermione went to their tent. You fell asleep quickly, dreaming about good times and carefree moments with Draco.
The next morning, Draco didn't eat breakfast. He just stood in his room, his hair a mess, his suit jacket crumpled up on the floor. No one came to speak to him.
Not even Narcissa.
His left sleeve was up, revealing his dark mark. He sat on his bed and stared at it.
His breathing became heavy, his eyes watery, sadness and anger building up inside him.
"It's all your fault!" He yelled.
He started to claw at the mark. It hurt badly but the pain was not the reason why he cried.
He got up from bed and walked over to one of his drawers.
He opened the top one and took out a small black jewelry box.
He went and sat back down on his bed.
He proved to himself that he wanted to be with you forever with this. And it was all for not.
He squeezed the box in his hand, holding back a sob. He needed to be strong.
But he didn't know how long he could keep up that strength.
Then he opened up the box and stared with sad eyes at the treasure it contained.
He touched its smooth surface.
He proved to himself with this.
Something he intended to give you when this was all over.
But now he'll never get the chance.
He'll never get the chance to give you this symbol of his heart to hold forever in your hands.
He'll never get to give you the proof that he really did love you.
Your engagement ring...
