"That is a possibility, but I think we have to risk it, its kind of are only option. But I promise I won't let anything happen you."

The serious look on his face tells me that he means what he said.

But it still doesn't ease the anxiousness I feel in the pit of my stomach.

"Okay then lets try, I take a deep calming breath, here goes nothing.

As were nearing the ship I get more and more nervous, and my minds playing the "what if game".

What if their demons?

What if their humans, but wont let us on?

What if the people were running from catch up to us?

No, no, no, no, no I'm trying to shake the doubt out of my mind. Will doesn't seem to notice or just doesn't comment.

I can't think like this, I have no idea what will happen, and I just have to wait and see, and hope for the best. Which is much easier said then done, but I have to.

"Okay, just let me do all the talking".

I almost ram into Will as he stops and says that, but I catch myself.

"Okay, I guess if you think that's best."

"Well I can be very persuasive when I want to be or at least when trying to make a deal." He gave me a wink.

I'm not sure what he means by that, but I decide not to read too much into it for now.

Plus I'm trying not to blush. We stop right next to the ramp leading up to the ship, a sailor or a worker not sure what the official name is for them passes by, Will calls out to him.

"Hey can I talk with you for a second?"

The guy turns around and let me tell you, he looks like death.

He is all dirty his cloths hang on him, and he just looks so sick and old, maybe 65ish.

Then when you finally get to his eyes they're a lifeless gray, not a dark gray more like smoke.

It takes all I have not to just stare at him. But Will keeps his cool.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but I need to speak to your captain or who ever is in charge of this ship."

The old man just stares at him a moment and shifts his gaze to me for just a second. Then back to Will.

All he does is lift his arm, and point his finger to building off to the side of us.

"He's in that building?" The man nods once and takes off onto to the ship.

"Um, that was strange. So are we are going in that building?" I look to it as I ask Will.

Then I notice it not just any old building but a pub.

Oh great. Just my luck not only do we have to persuade, and pretty much beg to be let aboard, but the captain of this ship is sitting inside a bar probably drunk or worse "wasted".

Then again if he is in that condition, maybe convincing him in helping us won't be so hard

"Yeah looks like we are, but we still need to be careful just stay close to me okay."
