A/N: For those of you who haven't read the manga, there will most likely be spoilers in the comments near the end of the chapter. I just wanted to disclaim that beforehand 。(*^▽^*)ゞ

Ten minutes later you found yourself in the pleasant night air walking by Tendou's side. You didn't have a real destination and were just wandering around the school grounds.
You had walked around half the track-and-field court to come to a stop at a bench near the stables of the equestrian club. You sat down and Tendou did the same next to you.
Heaving a big sigh you lifted your face towards the sky and sat like that for a few moments, both of you keeping silent.
"I'm sorry if this all seems childish to you." You disclaimed before you got into what was bothering you. "I realize that this will be nothing compared to what you've been going through for so long."
"That doesn't mean your worries are any less valid." He simply replied and you were at a loss for words for a few moments before continuing.
"Well, the thing is, my parents are planning their business trips again. They do that every year around this time and every year I raise my complaints, but they'll never listen." You could not hold back another malcontent huff.
"They insist on doing the trips together. Even though they need to go to completely different places. Every year I ask them to go on their trips separately, that way I'll have at least one parent home in the evening. But they won't listen.
Mom says it's better to have a few weekends alone than double that with only one of them at home. Dad just goes along with what she says, I don't think he really cares as long as he gets his trips planned.
She never listens to me, she always says it's for my own good. But I'm not five anymore! I can decide for myself what I want and what is good for me. And even if she really believes that this is the best way, can't she just go along with me for once and let me experience that she's right?"
You noticed that your emotions had gotten the best of you again and tried to calm down. Tendou on his part just listened to you quietly.
"Why do they both need to work so much anyway? We have plenty of money, it really wouldn't hurt us if one of them dialed it down a notch."
You pulled up your knees and rested your chin on them, arms hugging your legs.
"When is their first trip?" Tendou asked when you didn't say anything anymore for a short while.
"The weekend after next." You mumbled.
"That soon huh..." He sighed as he leaned back against the back of the bench.
The both of you sat in silence for a while linger before Tendou spoke up again. "I know this is not what you want to hear right now, but I'm kind of jealous."
You turned your face to him and stuck out your tongue. "If you already know I don't want to hear it then don't say it." While the words were kind of harsh, you made sure your tone implied no offense.
"Even if it's misguided, it's nice to have your parents think of doing right by you. If they were my parents they would probably decide everything on their own, let me know a few days before they left, and tell me to study a lot before taking off." He put his hands behind his head and turned to face the sky.
"Let's secretly arrange a parenting course for them." You joked, but couldn't make your voice match the playfulness of your words.
"Makes you wonder why they decided to have kids in the first place..." He said and the way he seemed lost in thought made you hesitant to reply, so it remained silent for a while.
