I slowly let out a breath and open the front door. I'm met with a tanned man, with twinkling brown eyes and almost black hair. I examine him closely, he's dressed in tight black jeans, black converse, and a black wife-beater. Tattoos covering his arms and a few are peaking out of the top of his shirt. He's very attractive. For a minute I'm worried he's part of the other vampire clan, that is, until his face lights up and he breaks into a smile.
"You must be Skye, yeah?" The attractive brown-eyed man extends his hand.
I reach out my own hand and he quickly grasps it. His hand is cool against mine, yet comforting. "Yeah, I'm Skye." I dumbly reply, trying to find my voice.
"May I come in?" He asks, his eyes flickering into the house then back at me.
"Oh, right, yeah-of course." I step aside, letting in this stranger into Harry's home. I'm assuming he's one of his friends so I'm not worried.
"I'm Zayn by the way." Zayn looks at me and smiles, flashing his white teeth. He has a marvellous smile and I can't help but stare at him in awe.
I bring myself out of my daze just in time for my drool to not escape my mouth. Embarrassed, I turn my head and close the door before locking it. I clear my throat and tuck a piece of hair behind my ear. "Harry has mentioned you." I say.
"Yes. Speaking of Harry, where is he?" He looks around the hall then back to me.
"Oh, he's sleeping-upstairs." I point upstairs and mentally curse at myself for making myself look like an idiot. Why am I so nervous around him? If he's one of Harry's friends then he won't hurt me.
"Right. Well I suppose I'll wait until he wakes up then." He looks at me and warmly smiles. My mouth goes dry. What is with vampires looking like gods? And why do they have this affect on me?
I try to bring some saliva into my mouth to speak. "Would you like a cup of tea, Zayn?" I ask.
He cocks his head to the side and smiles. "Very much."
I lead the way to the kitchen, Zayn hot on my heels. I do hope Harry wakes up soon, for some reason Zayn makes me very nervous. Hopefully the tea will calm my nerves a bit. I'm not sure why I'm so on edge all of a sudden.
"Go ahead and take a seat, I will only be a moment." I instruct. He looks at the chair then looks at me before sitting down, and pushing fallen pieces of hair out of his face.
"So did Harry break up with you?" Zayn bluntly asks. I turn around to look at him and scrunch my eyebrows.
"We were never dating." I flatly respond.
"Yes, but you had something going on."
"I guess." I shrug my shoulders and unplug the steaming kettle, grabbing two cups out of the cabinet.
"But he broke it of, yeah?"
"Yes." I finish making the tea and walk towards Zayn to give him his.
"Thank you." He mumbles, slowly taking a sip. I sit down across from him. "It's for your own good you know."
I look up from my tea. "I know." I weakly say.
Just as Zayn opens his mouth to speak, a yawning Harry walks into the kitchen. He stops in his tracks when he notices Zayn.
"Zayn, when did you get here?" He walks over with a wide grin on his face.
"Not too long ago bro, nice to see you." Zayn gets up and engulfs Harry in a big hug.
"What brings you here?" Harry asks as he takes a seat beside me.
