Check out the A/N at the end of the chapter. It is damn important.

NOTE:This chapter might not be what you guys expect after the prologue. It's more teen-y but I promise it becomes deeper and more meaningful with every passing chapter. Don't lose yur hopes and have faith in me. I gave a good prologue so DO trust me on this one.

Have you ever felt an urge to do something but not being able to. I have.

Their he sat with his eyes glued to the ground. His feature so perfect and his face so intense, though at the same time it radiated a certaing magnificant energy which cannot be explained by using words.

I knew that it would be wrong on my part to interfere. But I did. Guess curiosity got the better of me.

"Um...hey"

He looked at me. Exactly in the eye. His dark brown eyes so fierce, indicating me to pull away. But it was hard to. Hard to resist his stare. For that moment I was lost, engrossed in his beautiful, deep, bold eyes.

I could have been lost in them forever if he hadn't pulled away himself. He went back to the position he had been disturbed from.

"So you wanna talk?" I asked as I sat down on the stairs next to him, maintaining some distance between us. I knew I was crossing the line. Pushing the line between a stranger and me far too much.

He didn't reply. Well he had all the right not to but did I get the signal to dismiss. Oh no, I didn't.

"Because if you do want to talk then-" I stopped midway distracted by this strangers' movement. Since well, the next thing I knew was him getting up and walking off.

'Great. Just great!' I thought to myself as I analysed his movements. Not even two minutes in my new school and I had already done something stupid. Was I running for a record or something.

And then I surprised myself by walking after the stranger. I was aware that I was being a real big pile-on but...scratch that. I wasn't aware of my actions. It was all purely out of reflex.

"Hold on Mr Stranger" I said as I chased after him. As I approached him I noticed his gaze hardening on the ground.

"Go away" is all he said. But I'm not a quitter, right? Now I'm pretty sure I was running for the 'Who's the dumbest award'. Did I really want to ruin my first day as a sophomore so bad? Wow...I really must want to.

"No" I said. If there was something striking about me then it was my upfront, to-the-point, bold approach.

"Go. Away" he repeated as he made a special effort to mean every word he spoke.

"I said 'No'" I was determined, "What is your problem?"

"What is 'your' problem?" he said, emphasising 'your' as if it was a bad word. I could feel the eyes of a few students turn towards us now. I could just imagine what they must be thinking 'A little kiddo trying to become a tigress. Hahaha!'

Whatever. I could care less. For now all I wanted to do was solve the unusual 6 foot tall mystery standing in front of me. At times like this I wish I was taller. I was5'2 which was okay I guess. But when it comes to tackling a 6 footer then guess, my height doesn't come in handy. Rather it acts as a liability. Plus the fact that in this stupid school uniform I look like a 12 year old also doesn't help. My chest becomes flatter than ever and my sge miraculously decreases. Life ain't fair. At home i tend to look my age but in a uniform it seems like an evil spell has been cast on me.

"You mister have a problem. I won't push it because I'm not that kind but-"

"We might have to disagree on that one." The gorgeous stranger said, smirking. At least I got a glint of childishness out of this completely dilemma-flooded guy. Rather man. He looked like he was a senior though at the turns this situation had taken he behaved like a 40-year-old lovesick puppy, after a divorce.

"As if." I said, trying to collect my leftover pride as I tried to stomp off. Note the key word being 'tried'. Since all the eyes were boring into mine. Fury, envy, sympathy and cluelessness surrounded me. Did I forget to mention that I had taken a personal oath to stand invisible in the crowd. To be honest I'm really beginning to wonder if my plan backfired.

As a chrismas present I'm going to give an early update of 4-5 pages provoded I get more that 60 reads, 20 votes and 20 comments(excluding mine) on this chapter. I'm soo evil!!! Another thing: This story is a deep story. This chapter just shows the way Amber was before her NDE. She was after all just your average 16-year-old. This story gets more meaningful as time passes by. Anyway, don't forget to:
