The Seven Deadly Simpson Brothers
Chapter 5 ~ Saved
An hour and a half later, we had almost finished our project. I checked my watch, it was about half past eight. I was still a bit peeved that Lucinda wasn't here to do it with us. But I honestly didn't feel that bad with Walter anymore. He was quite nice to me though, which was weird.
"Erm, it's getting a bit late Walter," I said at last, sitting up straighter on the black sofa in his room.
He ran his hand down his face, and checked his watch. "Oh yeah, you wanna go home?" He asked casually.
"I'll drop you," He saved our presentation and started to get up.
"Oh no, you don't need to do that," I hurried. Despite the sort of relaxed evening, we weren't on those terms yet. I still couldn't trust him. My Dad posed a threat this to me, but his family had an even worse reputation.
"It's dark out," Walter said, looking at me.
I tried not to squirm under his gaze. It was only the fact that he was watching me, and all his attention was on me that made me want to do that. But really I quite liked to look back at his beautiful eyes which were a golden brown ringed with dark green. I've always loved hazel eyes.
"I'll be fine," I said, trying not to break under his spell-like gaze.
Doubt crossed Walter's face, but he shrugged. "Okay, but let me drop you half way. Just out of to safety."
He didn't have to say specific words, but we both knew what he was saying. He wanted to make sure that I got out of the dangerous West part of town where he lived. Although Walter had no neighbours, I would still have to cross the run down part of town to get to my home in the South part of town.
"Okay," I agreed.
We put on our coats and started down the corridor.
"Hold on a sec," Walter said and slipped into the room which I had learnt belonged to the triplets. Moments later Walter walked out again.
"So where in town do you live?" Walter asked as we left the house. It was still chilly outside and the sky was a dark navy blue.
"South," I replied. I wasn't going to give him details.
"Oh alright," Walter said. We were about to step onto the long road which lead to the rest of the West side of town. In fact, the Simpson's lived right on the edge of town.
"Hey Walter!" Someone yelled from the house.
We turned to look around and saw one of the triplets (I couldn't tell which one as we were quite far from the house) standing at the door. I couldn't be sure but I thought I saw them wearing The Simpsons Pajamas. Haha.
"Sorry, I'll be quick," Walter jogged back to his front door and the two brothers talked quietly for a short bit. Then they exchanged something, which Walter slipped into his pocket. I couldn't quite see because it wasn't light enough, but I guessed it was some sort of weapon, most likely a knife. I mean, what else?
