Luke woke up to the sound of soft cries filling the room adjacent to his. He thought back to last night and remembered ordering pizza after Julie left. Luke rolled off of the mattress and threw a shirt on. He glanced out of the door and saw Julie sitting in the hallway holding the clip that was once holding her hair back. In the moonlight she looked so pretty.

Wait, she was the one crying! He shut the door silently and started pacing. What was he supposed to do? Luke wasn't good at dealing with girls crying. Last week his chemistry partner had just gotten broken up with and was a teary wreck. Luke had patted her on the back awkwardly and she'd just burst into sobs. That was not a good day.

He shuddered at the memory and went to the mirror. Luke attempted to flatten out his hair but it was no use. The only thing that would fix it was a shower but it was the middle of the night. After taking a deep breath, Luke opened the door again and stepped out.

She looked up and pulled herself up off the floor. "Did I wake you? I am so sorry." She said, wiping her face. This girl was way too nice. "It's fine, Julie. Are you okay?" Luke asked, quietly. She just shook her head and sank back down to the ground. Luke sat there next to her, aching to physically comfort her. "Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked and she looked up from her hands and into his eyes.

Luke could see the hurt in her eyes and it made his heart clench. He heard her sigh before she spoke. "I couldn't find her and I didn't know where else to go." Julie confessed. "I'm so sorry, Jules." Before he could stop himself the nickname slipped out. She smiled slightly and Luke blushed. 'That smile is amazing' Luke thought to himself.

Julie looked back down at her feet. "I can leave if that's what you want." She whispered so faintly he could barely hear her. "I don't want you to leave." He said in a rush before he could think it through. "What I mean is, this is your home too and we literally just moved here so you can stay." Julie grinned and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Really?" She asked and Luke smiled. "Yeah really. I'll talk to Alex and Reggie but I'm sure they'll be cool with it." "Thank you. How can I repay you?" Julie said and Luke blushed. "You don't have to do anything. There are still some of your things up in the loft in the studio if you still need those things." He explained as she stood up.

"Thank you so much, Luke." Luke ran a hand through his hair and blushed for a third time. "No problem. I should probably..." He pointed to him room. "Yeah." Luke went back inside and leaned against the closed door. He smiled to himself. Luke definitely was crushing on Julie big time. He flopped back in bed and fell asleep.
