Had I been born during the Middle Ages, I probably would have spent my time traveling from court to court, telling stories of dragons, battles, and passionate intrigue...

But it was a hot summer day in August 1953, when I first saw the light of day. Actually I don't remember that day very well - or even the following years when we moved from Weimar - Goethe's hometown - to the German Rhineland in search of happiness.

I do know that I found my personal happiness at a very young age, devouring the books of Tolkien, Lovecraft, and Philipp K. Dick whilst my classmates were kicking around a soccer ball outside.

It didn't take long before I started writing myself; Short stories at first, then longer novels, which have been published here in Germany by the famous publishing house Bastei Lübbe ever since. Then, the stars aligned - my wife convinced me to write "Magic Moon" - a book that turned out to be a super-seller and even won several literary awards.

Many more books followed, but one thing never changed in the process: my passion for putting stories down on paper. I'm excited to bring one of my favorite stories directly to you, the Wattpad community. This is the first time that my story, "The Hexer from Salem" has ever been translated from German into English. I am releasing it exclusively on Wattpad, bit by bit. Please let me know what you think!
