I write stuff that's not quite in any real niche because I read in a variety of genres. I call my stuff left-of-mainstream, and it seems to fit. When I write literary fiction, it tends to be dark, when I write romance it tends to be…dark. When I write historical, it tends to be…um, dark. I'm learning to put light in everywhere though. My new series Elemental Magic is a real departure for me. I've always enjoyed female warrior types, what Antonia Fraser calls Warrior Queens, so Alaysha (the heroine of Water Witch and Blood Witch) falls into that category for me.

I've posted a few sample chapters in my works for those interested. 

I LOVE history. If I could fill a book with Amazon warriors and Greek mythology and Egyptian creation stories I would. Wait…that's what I'm doing. Grin.
