Rebecca Thomas

I am a longtime writer, editor, and digital creator with a passion for stories full of hope, lore, and a healthy dose of interchangeable magic and science. I write young adult science fiction and fantasy stories about young women facing social issues with competence, compassion, and some combination of science and technology skills. Recently, I've been working on projects headed to Instagram and YouTube with an eye toward expanding my skills into interactive fiction.

I also blog. I have almost since blogging began, on all manner of topics, to all kinds of audiences. But these days, my blog focuses more on my own projects and interests: storytelling, content creation, autodidactism and networked learning, and the geeky things I love. I also like to share what I learn through my own studies, projects, and practices.

When I'm not working on writing projects, I'm a voice actor and narrator, working on audiobooks, animation, and video games. And when I'm not doing that, I'm studying remix culture, which means reading and watching a lot of adaptations of mythology, folklore, and fairy tales. It gets a little crazy some days.
