Waz up, home boys?! Err, and home ladies? Awkward...

Let's be a little more formal, shall we? My name's Sam, I'm eighteen, and I live in New York. No, not the city. Sheesh, you all forget about the rest of us New Yorkers!

I guess I'll start this off by saying that I've always loved to write. It's a great way to pass the time and invent a world that's better than my own (even if my own life is pretty boss, let's be honest). I don't have a particular genre that I like to write the most, though I find that I usually write about people coming from difficult pasts and abuse. I guess it's just the way my brain functions. No, I have not been abused myself, but I do know a few people who were. My reading taste shifts into the more light-hearted romances. One day I'll attempt to write something amazing and bubbly, but for now I'm more focused on the terrible parts of life. Guess it comes with being a teenager, our overdramatic minds and such.

Besides my story, Survivor (which will be the first book I finish), I also like to write short stories, poetry, and songs on the side. Music is awesome. I live, eat, and breathe music--all music. Whether it be Toby Keith, 3OH!3, Eminem, Queen, Britney Spears, Hoobastank, Kevin Kern, Fall Out Boy, or Owl City doesn't matter. I'm all over the place. Comes from being a gemini, I guess. Our sporadic attention span and all.

I like to laugh at terrible American Idol auditions, listen to Harry Potter pick up lines, air guitar, and dance the robot while nobody (or sometimes everybody) is watching. I'm myself wherever I go. I don't see the point in pretending. Acting is not for me.

I like yoga and aerobics, sometimes running, soccer and volleyball. I have a lot of interests and need constant stimulation. I get bored easily, so it's a good thing my friends and family are crazy and random. Goons would be an appropriate term for them.

@SouthCasper72 I've slowly started working on Survivor again. I stopped around May, but have recently been doing some editing and trying to piece things together for how I want things to progress throughout the novel. I'm gonna try to update the seventh chapter sometime this week (probably on the weekend). I'm trying to get back into the routine! But college is sooo busy. I'll try harder knowing that someone's actually still reading it. :)
