Hi and thanks for reading my profile.

My name is Kat and i,m a 40 year old emergency nurse. I'm also a jewelry maker,author,   and I design and make my own silver and clay artisan  jewelry.

My journey into writing has been more than unusual . After having my children at the age of sixteen and descending into a life of crime and drugs, I have successfully  managed to turn my life around. 

 I have  now completed two university degrees and currently working on my third.  I also run my own online jewelry business along side working full time  in the ED and looking after my three wonderful kids and husband.

I love to reminisce and make sense of the experiences I have had in my short but very  varied and sometimes grueling life.

 I feel that writing short  stories gives me a certain sense of   release and it also gives me the opportunity  to expel my memories and experiences onto  a blank canvass..... It basically clears my head.

Each of my stories is special in the fact that it reflect someone or several people that I have met in my life, either in my personal  life as a teenager or young mum ,  or in  my   job as an emergency nurse. 

I hope you enjoy reading as much as I loved creating and hope my stories make you laugh hard, cry lightly and give a divine inspiration when the going gets tough :)
