Writing and reading can snatch us away from our lives, relieve our stress, take us from place to place, teach us lots of things that we never knew existed and can help us develop our personalities.
I was writing as far as I can remember, back in the first grade I remember that I can be placed right there on the top when it comes to reading speed. That's when my adventure in reading and writing begun. When I am not playing, but most of the time I was playing back then, I was scribbling sceneries and characters using words, I guess my inability to draw is one of the contributing factors why I love writing. And thanks to that I can paint a thousand pictures using my words.
It is in writing where I find lots of pleasure. :) Every "wow, you're good,", "that's a good story!", "I want more" , "what's next" cripples to my heart and give me a sense of accomplishment. I can still remember my first writing job, it was a love letter to a girl from our school. I gave her a poem and...umm I don't know what happened next. :)
I got paid to write, yes, real money isn't that great? But no matter how much I get paid there is nothing more precious than the appreciation of the readers, just like the moment when I felt really honored winning an award, again flashback to the grade school, I won first in a creative writing contest participated by older writers from all the schools across our academic division. Well, the win is great but the greatest part of it is when the announcer read my story in front of everybody. Unbelievably great. :)
Well to all the aspiring authors here, myself included, let us just continue writing as long as we can and until we reach that one goal we all have, our THE END.
