Aside from his weird tendencies such as collecting vintage manual typewriters, David is a scribbler of thrilling tales of fantasy adventure for young and adult readers. With a natural tendency toward laziness, he considered selling his soul for instant publishing glory, but given the Great Recession's effect on the demonic markets, he opted instead for long hours pounding away at the keyboard. Which leaves his soul available for buying world-domination once the markets pick up. So watch it. He might stop being lazy. It could happen. One might ask, why does David write fast-paced tales of fantastic adventure. Short answer: He doesn't like slow and he's big a fan of things fantastic! If you count looking at colorful images as reading (and who doesn't?), he's been reading comics all his life. So that's where it began. Early on, he got caught up in the idea of space travel, but the charming bunk that is The Sirius Mystery transitioned him from astronomy to ancient history and the fine art of making up stuff. The mesmerizing cover of the 4th Edition Stormbringer RPG finished him off. To fantasy adventure he went, like a squire charging into his first quest. He steeped himself in the works of Michael Moorcock, Robert E. Howard, and David Gemmell, and he delved into the Star Frontiers, Stormbringer, Champions, and Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying games. David lives in Alabama, along with his delightful wife, Pepper Thorn, and three lovely cats. He studied history, literature, and religion at the University of Alabama. He practices the Yang Taijiquan long form and enjoys reading about nutrition. He loves Redskins and Crimson Tide football.

@mrhappy99 The Forbidden Library comes out in June! I'm working hard on the final stages of writing and it will soon go to my first reader. Cover artist just sent me the first awesome sketch. Thanks!
@davidalastairhayden lol, it's no biggie. I missed your for the longest myself! Hahaha, trust me decent writing had more to do with it than water :p huh. You know, I never looked at it like that, but I can see what you mean. But you still managed to convey the ingrained way that people show that they're used to doing something a certain way. You know, Le how they can't be wrong and refuse new ideas unless they have no choice. (Cough, cough) *Turesobei's new powers*
Can't Wait for book three of the storm phase
@wordsmithgoldsmith I missed this comment. Ooops! Sorry. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! Yay, instant fans, just add water! And maybe a bit of decent writing, eh? ;-) I like to think that magic in Okoro is understood in the way that scientific principles were understood in our world in the late 1800's. They had some general ideas and knew some things but other things were still beyond them and they just had no idea. Of course, we still got that sometimes. Don't completely understand gravity still.
hahaha, I just finished Storm Dragon's Heart. recently. I loved it so you got an instant fan. :D I loved the way you gave magic a practiced feel like science with no explanation but at the end basically saying "It's magic so it'll do some weird things" lol. Your characters are really well rounded and the story really made me laugh. one of my favorite characters is Grandpa Kahenan.
@Jaime3233 You're awesome. Thank you so much for supporting my work. Means a lot to me. So glad you loved it. Book 3 comes out in June. Don't miss it. Gonna be another crazy ride! :-)
Bought Lair of the Deadly Twelve, just amazing. You're a great author.
That helped a ton! Thanks c:
@lauren373 Both! You can buy my books at Amazon, B&N, Kobo, or iBooks. Or read some of them here. You will find authors of all sorts here from beginners looking for help, to amateurs just sharing, to published authors. I release my novels here one chapter each week. The Storm Dragon's Heart is complete but the sequel won't be fully posted here until 2014. But you can already buy Book 2 and Book 3 comes out in June. Hope that helps. :-)
Wait, so are you an actual author and can we buy these books like we'd buy a Percy Jackson novel? Or is Wattpad a site to just write your own stories and have other people read them :o? Sorry I'm new to this (:
