I have spent most of my working life as an engineer of one sort or another (broadcast engineer, software engineer) and people who know that side of me are surprised when they learn about the writing side. I like science and engineering because I like to know how things work, and I like the arts because I like to know how people work.

It took me 50 years to graduate from college, because I kept getting distracted by life, but I finally earned a BA and MS in Computer Science. Having accomplished that, I started writing a novel, which turned into a trilogy. I don't know why I needed that degree to write, at last, the book that I always knew was in me trying to get out. Maybe I just needed to be old enough.

The sequels, Books II and III, are available for sale on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, Sony, and Kobo. I wish I could make them all free, but even writers have to eat.

Hi Taleth,
I hope I am going to write more books, but I'm not working on anything at the moment. The trilogy took ten years to complete, so I doubt anything will show up anytime soon. Thanks for your kind comments about my work.

Are you going to write more books? I loved When Women Were Warriors, and ended up buying all three books because I wanted physical copies of them so I can bring them wherever I want :) Thank you for sharing your story with us, I'd love to read more.

Thank you, everyone, for your lovely comments. The trilogy usually isn't carried by bookstores, because it is self-published, but if you request it from B&N, they can order it for you.
