Illise Montoya is the pseudonym used by Amanda French, a working 24-year-old college student and amateur author. Her hobbies include film, video games, drawing, taiko drumming, long walks on the beach, dancing in the rain, and writing bios that sound like really hackneyed spoofs of romantic pitches. She's happily married to a man who is thankfully a great deal more level headed than she is. She mostly writes fantasy, but she likes to switch up the setting from worlds that resemble our present day, to imaginary wondrous places, to places that could very well be our future. Prominent in her stories are strong female leads, a strong focus on abstract concepts, and intense personal relationships.
