Ah yes, the most difficult part about filling out the profile: the personal disclosure.  I'll make it brief; do try to keep awake for the whole of it, will you?  =)  That's a good chap.

Alright, take two:  my first attempt made me sound like a pompous ass so I'll tone down the melodrama and give it to you straight.

Hey, my name is Shawn.  My nick is from one of the first books I got to a third reading with a major publishing house and so has a bit of significance.  I've been writing since I was a teenager (damn, that long??) and love it.  My specialty is fantasy, but I've penned some sci-fi that often bends towards fantasy.  Those that have read both from me, will see what I mean.

I've kicked around the world a bit, spending time in all kinds of places in Canada, the States and over in Europe.  And I've considered it all research, since the best place an author can draw their inspiration from is their experiences.  I'm a bit of a people watcher too, and find myself analysing human behavior on a regular basis but it's all research, . . honest.  >_>

I love reading almost as much as I love writing.  A good thing, I'm thinking.  How can you write if you don't love to read?  I also love music and usually have something stirring in my headphones as I write.  And I enjoy movies, usually the typical action or fantasy/sci-fi kind, even if I DO think I could write better. lol
