@dpcookiemonster Hi sorry for the late reply. The whole three week trip to the east coast of canada and back to the west coast was a very long haul. My husband and I drove which took 3 and a half days to get there and same for when we drove back. Along with arriving back in alberta to moving into a new place and trying to establish furniture and what not. Once we get ourselves more situated I will be likely to be more frequent with posting and uploading more of my chapters.
hey, hows things going?:) When will u upload(unless ur busy)?, REALLY(time a billion) want to continue reading ur work!
Yeah, but hopefully she'll figure it out soon ^^ I've gotta hit the hay too, don't wanna go to volleyball practice half asleep. Night! Great talkin' with you
@Badgersliketoast Very well said. I couldn't agree with you more. People do grow up eventually and for her sake I hope it does happen. Hopefully when she is in her later teens she will look back on that comment of mine and maybe re-read it and see what I said in a different light, and realize at the time she did not fully understand, because I do not come on here to bash anyone, but to give advice as best as I can to help further advance everyone in their writing. I do not stoop to the level of bashing people. I did like her book and was going to comment on it and let her know that she does need to edit, but her rude message caught my eye. I wish there were a way I could open up her eyes. Well I got to head to bed here. It is 1 am my time. Nice chatting :)
exactly! I feel bad for her too. Luckily I learned about handling criticism without being a total toddler about it at her age, allowing me to not make such stupid mistakes later on. It's a shame because her writing could truly be worth while if she listened to the people who didn't just write "great jobz!!!!!!!!!1!" instead of acting like they are the spawn of satan for not completely adoring her work. I hope she learns that lesson soon, because no publisher, editor, author, or any reader with half a brain will take her seriously with that attitude.
@Badgersliketoast Or maybe she is not mature enough to be posting her stories on here if she can't tolerate any form of feedback that is not glorifying her writing. Criticism helps correct the mistakes that you make which experienced authors can help point out to you. It's really too bad for her though. If she is stupid enough she will leave my comment on there and her reply to show how rude she is, because anyone with a brain in their head can clearly see who the rude person is. And I hope that she loses readers over it, because until she learns to take criticism no one will take her seriously.
Hahaha okay. But yeah, I completely agree with you! She was the one being beyond rude, not you. She just insults everybody who finds even a minor flaw in either her personality or her writing, and that is NOT how a mature writer goes about responding to feedback, whether you're twelve or two hundred. She was being far too upfront about everything, and if she doesn't care or think it's people's bussiness, she should definitely just inbox 'em.
@Badgersliketoast Haha no worries, don't say anything to her. It is only going to keep going if you or myself reply and keep it going. she has the maturity of a 6 year old as far as I am concerned. What I said to her was not rude though, it was only to show her that how she treated her readers like crap is what turned me off and that something like what she has to say to people should not be so pubicly. she should inbox the person if it bothers her. because he lack of indiscretion is and will cause readers and potential readers not to read. it was merely a comment to help her. I don't care what she says to me, because she is a kid in my eyes. I am 23 she is what 12?
