I don’t like writing about myself in the third person. Doing so makes it sounds like I am dead, which (to my knowledge) I am not. Yet. My name is Alexandra, and I am a writer. Novelist, poet, filmmaker, inconsistent podcaster, infrequent reviewer. I dabble in way too many artistic endeavours, but I don’t mind much — except when I realize I have only slept for three hours in the previous forty-eight. But, by then, I am usually so hyped up on a combination of coffee and hours of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that even two days’ worth of sleep can’t help me. Yes, I have tested this theory. My work is predominantly written for teens or young adults. I suspect this is because I am a.) a young adult and b.) never going to grow up. Any attempts to write “adult-oriented material” would probably result in literary exile to an island with no internet access — and where would I be without my blog?? When I am not blogging, I am usually writing. Or watching something on Netflix. Or both! I'm great at multi-tasking. (Sort of.) (Not really.) On a more personal note, I am getting married sometime in 2013, and somehow planning a wedding while maintaining a 4.0 and expanding my online persona. Don’t ask me how. I'm really a lot friendlier than this snarky bio suggests. I love meeting people! Please contact me if you'd like to know more about my work, discuss comics, or become BFFs! Or for any other reason. At all. I am open to most ideas/commentary/friend reqs. Unless you are Neil Gaiman. Then I might just weep because my ultimate idol has spoken to me. Rather chat through email? You can contact me by directing messages to alexandracorinth@gmail.com. I'm also on Skype/AIM intermittently, so feel free to ask for those handles. ^__^ bl: alexandracorinth[dot]com fb: facebook[dot]com[slash]alexandracorinthwrites tw:@AlexandraChaos tu: alexandra-corinth[dot]tumblr[dot]com Votes and comments are greatly appreciated! @Imma_Cannibal Thank you, love! :D Your well-wishes mean a lot to me. <33
I hope you get someone to publish it :)
Hey hey, froggies! So I have some exciting news regarding STORIES: I've decided to start querying it to agents! :D :D I understand that many agents will probably reject it simply because it has been posted entirely online. That's okay! That's what I expect, really. But I feel like STORIES is good enough to deserve a chance at traditional publishing, and that I would always wonder, "What if?" if I didn't at least try. I will be submitting to two agents for now, and one digital-only publisher that accepts unagented submissions. I should know in six weeks or so if any of them want to read more. Unfortunately, this means that I will be taking STORIES off Wattpad on 1 May 2013. I have to, if I want the book to have a chance at living in a world outside of Wattpad. If no one wants STORIES, I will probably repost it here, and/or make it available for Kindle/Nook. That's the plan anyway. I haven't thought much farther than that. I appreciate everything that all of you have done for me in the last five months. I sincerely believe I wouldn't even be pursuing this life with this ferocity if it wasn't for the wonderful response I have received to this little book. I have made so many friends here, and any subsequent success that THE STORIES WE TELL achieves is 100% because of you. Thank you for being understanding! And of course, you will be the first to know if and when something happens! All my love and cheesecake, AC xoxox
