A.D. Phillips

The author A.D. Phillips publishes under the Action Girl Books Imprint. As the name might suggest, the author enjoys writing works that feature strong female characters in the role of the heroine or villainess (often both!).

Stories tend to be very cinematic, often in the style of a big budget action/adventure movie with lots of fight sequences, tight dialogue, and quick pace. The author has written books for adults and teenagers (aimed mainly at the 15+ age group due to the intensity and violence). While central characters in the stories are female, the author hopes to write tales with cross gender appeal, that can be enjoyed by adults and teenagers alike.

A.D. Phillips currently works as a researcher in Manchester (the UK city, not the one in New Hampshire). While  not busy working or writing, the author enjoys playing videogames (probably the inspiration for the highly cinematic style).  The author has previously worked as a scientist based at NASA Goddard, USA, and also a mathematics teacher.
