omg im sorry that happened, a similar thing happened to my best friend and now shes the sluttiest person you will EVER know. and she hates me because I was trying to help. I tried to talk to her, and I know she hates doing this to me cause we grew up together it sad :(

Okay, so... I've had this weighing on my chest for a while, and I really feel like I need to say something... People, you need to understand, the things you say or do, intentional or not, sometimes you hurt others. VERY badly. Merely ignoring that someone exists is one way to be hurtful. Please just, try to realize that people need you to be there for them and to tell them they are important. They are valuable. They are loved and will always have someone to turn to. Today, one of my best friends came to school high. She's been cutting for years now, and her mother had taken her to for a doctor's appointment the other day and they ended up prescribing her with some kind of medicine. Apparently she ended up bursting into tears in second period class today, and started telling our teacher about how she felt. She feels that most of her class doesn't even know she exists. She feels like a shadow, just walking around, not be acknowledged. By lunch, she had already cried 2 other times and was taken to the school counselor and taken to the ER. By lunch, nearly everyone in my grade came up to me and asked where she was, how she was doing, was she okay... She doesn't realize it, but she is very well loved. But it's the people who don't realize either, that she thinks they don't even know her, because she is extremely quiet and doesn't talk to them much. I just want you to know, if you do any type of self-harm, or ever feel like no one cares about you or knows who you are... I'll listen, I'll care, I'll love. There is ALWAYS someone you can talk to and let it all out to, and that is so much better than hurting your beautiful body. I love you. <3 - Sammi.
