Ok, so...
Someone, not saying who, (the person in the forest in the black cloak - Violet's dream) has warned the Varn's of an impending attack by some rogue vampires and a clan of slayers. They want to take Violet.
So, during the night, the Varn's return, along with the vampire council. Violet wakes up to this, and she basically insults them =D
They have a meeting (Kaspar's pov) to try and decide what to do, but agree on nothing.
After this, Ilta Crimson is sent to get Violet. He makes her collapse, and during this, she see's the man from her dream again. She then see's the end scene of the last chapter, where a group of vampires arrive - Ilta Crimson and his friends. He says "I smell blood," and she realizes he can smell her.
But at this point, she wakes up, and does not remember what has just happened.
Ilta says everything is okay, but he in fact caused it. it ends on them heading off for dinner.
Sorry for the confusion, I know there is a lot of stuff introduced in this chapter!
