What can I say about myself? I'm 29, I used to write far more than I tend to these days. Had hopes of being published once upon a time, but have long since become disillusioned of that idea. Writing has become tougher these past few years as it's seemed harder to connect to my work and really throw my heart behind it. But I'm hopeful that I can eventually regain that enthusiasm about writing I once had.

I'm a bit of an odd bird. My all-time favorite author is Christopher Pike. Being a fan of his work automatically gains you points with me. Pike was probably the reason I first started writing at all. And even though I've long since outgrown the age group most of his books were aimed at, I still re-read a lot of his books on a regular basis.

I was originally led to this site when a user named AlexCLight plagiarized The Second Layer and began posting it as his own. I didn't even know Wattpad existed before that. But, if the story is going to be posted, might as well be me as the actual writer who does it, right? At this point, I only know for sure that I'll be posting The Second Layer and it's sequel Power Play. When I originally story-boarded my ideas for the Freaks series that those two belong to, I had 12 (yikes) books in mind. But I knew that if I were going to stop writing the series prior to finishing all 12, then after Power Play was the best stopping point, as it offered it's own conclusion of sorts. Whether I'll eventually continue the series, or simply write other stories and post those is up in the air at this point. It depends on whether this kickstarts my writing again. Both stories are already posted in their entirety on FictionPress, in case you want a sneak peek before I finish posting them here.

I never send messages broadcasted to all fans, so this is a rarity. Just wanted to say that while I've run into writer's block once more, I am hoping and trying to overcome it, and would like to get something new down sometime soon. Also, I changed my profile pic and background to an actual pic of me, for better or worse. It's far from a great picture, but the hairdresser who dyed my hair wanted a pic showing how the color has come along since it was done, so I took a quick one the other night. Since I felt like changing my profile pic tonight, and that was the only one of myself that I had since getting both my hair dyed and the new tattoos, I figured why not, even if the pic sucks. =P

So, love my looks or hate them as you will, but you now know what I look like. ^_^

It's definitely getting the cover spot, though I'm probably going to hold off on resuming my updating of Power Play (despite having the story written) until I resume my posting of The Pain Inside this weekend. For some reason unknown to me the idea of a double-posting just seems right somehow. =P
