Hi, there! Wow, thanks for visiting my profile page. Since you've made the effort thus far, the least I can do is tell you a little about myself...

I've been writing fiction since I was in high school, submitting for publication since 2000 (while completing a short story collection as my thesis project for an M.A. in English), and self-publishing since 2012. I'm a constant reader, a fan of mysteries, horror, and fantasy, and a chronic daydreamer. 

I live in the middle of Illinois -- closer to St. Louis than Chicago -- and I've been married to my husband Nathan for fifteen years. I'm a mom and, for the past decade of my life, the primary caregiver for my two daughters. This year, my youngest will start Kindergarten and that phase of my life will come to an end. It will be the end of an era, but I'm looking forward to more writing time. 

Currently, I'm writing two projects: a serialized YA fantasy romance called True Alliance and a contemporary mystery novel called The Witch's Throne. I'm posting sections from both projects in order to receive feedback and give myself deadlines for completing the final, polished chapters.

I'm also republishing Faraday & Frankenstein, a Victorian alternate history/light steampunk story I wrote two years ago with the intention of continuing that story if the muse strikes.
