Solitaire Parke was born in Bakersfield, California in 1952. He has been avidly reading books of all kinds, but especially Science Fiction books, since he was twelve years old. It was the author, Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose style of writing evoked a passion for the written word and became his inspiration. Throughout his life he has acquired a degree in Music Theory, a Masters in Photography and spent a decade and a half in Graphic and Web Design. He is currently pursuing his dream of being a full-time Author. His books range from Horror/Thriller to Science Fiction as well as Metaphysical and Poetry. He resides in Arizona with his family and is the proud owner of Tairobi…his Manx cat. He has been a huge help in the writing process!

***THE EMERALD DRAGON CHARACTER CONTEST HAS BEGUN!!*** http://solitaireparke.wordpress.com/2012/06/30/the-emerald-dragon-character-contest/ Two people will win a chance to create a character (dragon rider) and dragon that will be featured in the book! Anyone who wants to participate would need to come up with the character’s name, origin, their dragon’s name, the species of dragon, as well as color, age and gender. The winners will not only have their characters immortalized in the story, but I will also mention the winners on the dedication page of the book, send them a signed copy when the book is released and of course, mention them on my blog as the winners of “The Emerald Dragon” Character Contest! The guidelines and specifics are now posted on the blog!!
