Hello, and thank you for taking the time to stop by *smiles and bows* I'm Soa and it's a pleasure to meet you. I certainly hope you'll take the time to leave a message or give my works a glance--I'd be very grateful if you did! Without further ado, please allow me to fulfill the purpose of this "About Me" and tell you a few things you may or may not want to know. *Smiles* Currently, I'm studying for two degrees. The first is Creative Writing, the second is Mass Communications. This may come as a surprise after saying that, but English used to be my worst class, and it was a very rare occasion when I spoke. I've come a long way from who I was, in many ways, and I know I've still got quite a ways to go. Such is the journey of life. *Smiles* Being notorious for multitasking, I can be found online most hours of the day (and many of the night). I used to update once a day, however, due to the increasing list of things to do, I can only update when I have time. Most of my works are in the vein of the Young Adult genre, and deal with fantasy elements. Most Recent-- Games played: Resonance of Fate, Last Rebellion Anime watched: InuxBoku SS Books read: Microfiction Background: The leads from my Warriors of Weird series (Malice in Wickedland is the first novel) Goal: Complete Enabler before July 1st Prioritized-- TV shows: Supernatural, Arrow, Grimm, Elementary, Castle Works: Enabler, Vulture (Vian Book 2) Editing: Malice in Wickedland Frequently Asked-- Reading Request: Not accepted due to time constraints. Pictures: All have been drawn or created by my two hands unless otherwise stated. Deviantart: http://soarinsoraya.deviantart.com/ Current Quote-- "In a world of chaos, the only logical thing to do is be illogical," -Nim of "Breaker" "If we weren't weird, we wouldn't be here. We wouldn't be alive either, but, hey, say what you want," -Lux of the Warriors of Weird series Have a wonderful day *Smiles and bows* -Soa

@YzabelGinsberg Glad to hear it! Is it a published book or one here on Wattpad? *Tilts head* I can admit, as someone who sees blurs of color without her glasses, that I considered the surgery... then disregarded it. My glasses are fun, plus contacts aren't a hassle anymore. Oh colored lenses! *Smiles* ...Yes, I have been following the conversation like a stalker. *Laughs and ruffles hair*
@Soa_Soraya So far the book's proving quite a funny read, and without too much romance going on, so it's enjoyable. I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked it, but I like the idea. @ZarethKnyght I probably wouldn't have realised it myself if I hadn't needed glasses to start with. Now I'm so used to them I don't even pay attention anymore. And I don't have to put them on anyway for daily activities such as being on the computer, cooking, writing, etc. (But I suppose that people who have it worse than I, and really can't even see their own hands without glasses, would find surgery much more interesting.) Also, the good thing about myopia is that I can wear tinted lenses. Those aren't available for other eye-related problems. I can have green or brown or violet eyes if I want. Or even boat lights. *grins*
I'm back~ Now that grades are in and summer has officially begun, I'm looking forward to reading and writing! That said, my days are going to be scheduled. Here's what you can expect: Updates- Saturday or Sunday, primarily "Enabler" as I would like to work on the sequel for Camp NaNo in July. Reading- Thursday, Saturday, and/or Sunday. Unavailable- Fridays and most likely Tuesdays. Anyway, that's that! Have a lovely day, *Smiles and bows* -Soa
@ZarethKnyght The weather is just zany. *Laughs* I do the same, or put myself in the perspective of someone else. It's very clarifying, isn't it? *Smiles*
Oh, the hours difference was two weeks ago :p Sometimes it's also dependent on area. Take a few steps forward, it's snow. Few steps back, it's rain. When I start to think of myself as the main character, I make myself think about how big the universe is. Then I move on with life~ @YzabelGinsberg I can definitely see that being true...a lot of people actually look better with glasses but don't realize it. But due to culture or whatever, they think they look better without. Pretty silly but oh well. Whatever rocks their boat. I just didn't like wearing glasses ^^;
@YzabelGinsberg Yikes! I hope all goes well when it becomes known! Writing does have a tendency to do that. *Smiles* (Zombie chick lit? That sounds a bit like the book a movie was recently based on. So long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters, right?) Power to the glasses!
@ZarethKnyght *Laughs* Your weather sounds quite a bit like mine, though it's hours rather than days. Mother Nature is quite fickle. I hope you'll have fun! *Nods* I appreciated that as well. I think there needs to be a fine balance between being scared and having the gumption to do what needs doing (in order to adjust the world). Honestly, I feel as if we focus so much on our individuality that we see ourselves as the main characters of everything (ie. saying things like "Oh, this can't happen because I'm *special*" or "I'm so much better than him/her, and, if I can't have ---insert whatever here-- then I'll just ruin it for them too!"). It makes me very sad and more than a little afraid for the future, though I'll admit I've had these thoughts pop up in my head as well. *Smiles and shrugs*
@Soa_Soraya Yes, and these days it's not a handful of hours, but a handful of months that's been hanging on "unknown." At least there's writing to keep my head out of that stuff. (Oh, and zombie chick lit. Yes, I know, I'm reading zombie chick lit. Don't ask.) @ZarethKnyght I've considered laser surgery, but my sight problem is quite light (-1.75-dioptre), and since it hasn't budged in the past 15 years, I doubt it's going to get worse any time soon. Not to mention how expensive it would be, since our SS doesn't cover much in that regard (same goes for glasses—as if we chose to wear glasses just to be pretty, and not because we've got rotten eyes, huh). So it's definitely not on my list of priorities. That said, I *do* look better with glasses than without. Really. *vanity power on*
Toronto...it's...fairly odd here. It can feel like late Spring/early summer for a day or two and then turn around and start snowing the following day. That's in terms of the weather. Otherwise I guess it's a fairly typical big city. Anime North happening this weekend though for me. So that'll make for something a bit out of the norm for at least this weekend. I enjoy the Fire Emblem series but I don't actually have a favourite. I liked what they did with Path of Radiance -> Radiant Dawn though. I think the world needs to become scared of something...no one seems to be taking anything seriously since all the threats aren't all that obvious.
@ZarethKnyght I'm glad to hear that. *Smiles* I quite liked naming the characters in those two series. Depending on the day, I'm online most of the time, weather and bandwidth permitting, so anytime you'd like to talk, I'm game. *Smiles* Toronto! What's it like there? Sadly, I live in the US so passing by would take powers far beyond my control. *Laughs* If I could control them... well, the world would be scared. You're a fan of Fire Emblem I take it. Do you have a favorite of the series?
