I had dreams of being a writer at a young age, used to have a pretty cool blog with a decent amount of followers. I wrote a lot of fiction based insight collected from my personal life. Now I am in the process of starting another blog about relationships and writing a novel.
Sci-fi romance? Is that a genre?
"The Soul Particle" Is the story of two young doctors who meet at medical school fifty years in the future, Larken is studying the effects of oxytocin on the famously monagomous prairie voles. The FDA and the Committee of Ethics has finally allowed Johns Hopkins University to manufacture a prescription drug that allows humans to experience the "true love" an oxytocin based pill that adheres to the DNA strand and bonds two humans in an all encompassing the euphoria and bonding of new love. The pill itself is revolutionary but when Larken and Jon meet and stumble upon a chemical test that allows them to see and take scans of what is coined the "soul particle" first on the prairie vole, and then on humans- the story really unfolds. True love in a pill vs. soul mates. Soul mates whose soul particle can be traced beyond death. Particles returning reincarnate in new bodies on Earth, sometimes decades later but with distinct trackers, what the pair discovers is that real love transcends time and space. A love story that extends over three lifetimes, my goal with "The Soul Particle" is to present a spiritual and metaphysical idea so logically and scientifically plausible that the cynic in all of us will feel the possibility of eternal love.
